cold boot bug

I installed 10.10 today. Everything works fine except for one weird bug. I tried searching for an answer but i couldn't find one. When i power on the rig(cold boot), the screen goes blank after the apple logo. If i restart, the system boots into the login screen with no issues. This issue...
