I've recently converted my Mac Pro 2009 to a PC, the goal was to make it as clean as possible.
The cable extended from the rear is for HDMI output, since I'm not using a discrete graphic card.
I recorded the whole conversion process in 4K, I hope this helps.
There will be a total of 4...
I alreaday have this case: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811353145?Item=N82E16811353145
I want to use it for a tonymac build, but I have two questions about it:
1. I notice the product description says ATX Mid Tower. Can I use any ATX mobo from the buyers guide or do I need a specific one...
I've noticed that in the buyer's guide a lot of the recommended cases for ATX motherboard builds are Corsair Carbide cases.
However, most of those cases have been discontinued and are increasingly harder to find.
What should a builder do to find a case that will fit an ATX motherboard for their...
Does anyone have experience building with the Apevia X-Infinity mid tower case? I’m guessing it’s fine for building a Custo Mac Pro, but I don’t wanna take any chances. This is my first build. Link below. Thanks.
I want M.2 on the board for SSD drive.
I will be doing music production and playing x-plane 11. (The only game I'll play.) I keep running into the :
Gigabyte Z370XP SLI
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X HERO
What else would I need to put in the M.2 slot? From what I see I...
So here's the deal I am using a late 2013 27 inch iMac with 24GB ram 1TB HDD I want to upgrade to something faster and more up to date. I use Logic Pro X and I want to play X-plane 11. My current iMac can handle Logic for the most part. But it can't play x-plane.
I am currently using High...
Hello! I am thinking about building a CustomMac Mini and I wonder if the case SST-RVZ03 would be a good option. I have not seen any Hackintosh made with this case and I do not know if I would be in the right way with this case or I would not. Greetings and thank you for any tip, help...
I'm replacing my recently deceased 2012 Core i7-3770k build. I have all of the components picked out for a high-end i7-8700k build on an ASUS Z370-G motherboard.
However, I'm not having much luck finding a case I like, so I'm looking for suggestions. I listed a Corsair and an In Win case...

I have recently buy a Mac G5 and I plan to use the case for build an hackintosh. But now I wonder myself if it's more easy to use a Mac Pro 1.1 case, cause the power supply seems more standar form factor. (and Mac Pro 1.1 have already more slot for connector on the back and...
Howdy! I have caught the custom build fever. I'm new to both tonymac86.com & custom building, though I worked at a mac repair shop for a year
replacing and upgrading Mac parts.
I edit video on FCPX as a small side job on my 2012 13" MBP 2.9GHz and my Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB GPU
The most difficult part in building a hacintosh for me is choosing a good case.
Motherboards and cpu's have there specs and are rather easy to choose from.
A good casing must be silent, provide enough room for the graphic cards, fans and cooling systems.
My next project will have one of these...
Hello, I was just wondering how much of an impact a case has on audio interference. I have a really cheap case, super thin metal, and I'm getting a fair amount of interference when recording guitar, etc. I was wondering if a new case would be likely to help with this? I have a Power Mac G5 in...
I'm looking to build my first ever Hackintosh now that my 2010 iMac is getting a little warm when under load in the summer and has already had one GPU replacement (likely mixture of quality and heat issues). As the machine will be in the lounge room noise is a factor. As I live in Brisbane...
I really like the mac pro case inside and out. But wish it had more airflow on the top and bottom. My goal is to create a case, with mac pro quality (and a little smaller), but combine the designs of the mac pro, and the enthoo mAtx evolve. Here is what i got so far, I would like design...
