Random freezes. Hackintosh 2 secs away from sledge hammer. [GA-Z87M-D3H + 4770k + GeForce 8800Ultra]

P.S.: Not only we have the same ram, we also have same cpu, and wifi card. Motherboards are also similar, I have the Z87X-OC.

I have the exactly the same problem, though not as severe as yours. However, we do have the same ram and same amount. More importantly, now I can very confidently say that it is a ram issue. I haven't exactly found out what yet, but I found that the computer only freezes when I have 16 gig ram -...

    resetting default boot drive

Cool. Glad it worked. Yeah, I have officially given up. I know it's not a ram issue for me. I even switched ram and it is the same. The crazy thing is the computer works completely fine otherwise. The only two things (so far) that crash on start up is word and transmission. After I turned off...

Hi, could you tell me if you have made any progress toward solving that problem? I am having exactly the same issue, and we have very similar rig. I have the Gigabyte z87OC, GTX 780 (just one), G.SKILL RAM (16gb) and i7-4770k. My mac os is also installed on a SSD. However, my ram is actually...

What about AMD's R9 Series (280x, 290x) on our Hackintoshes?. Further explanation.

Can any clarify how 290x or 290 work partially? I don't game on osx, and all I want is to do office work in the mac environment with two 1080p monitors. Would that be okay?
