The Ivy Bridge sounds interesting. Any recommendations for specific motherboards? I lean towards Gigabyte and ASUS.

I have a working hackintosh, no issues. But its old enough I can't use Mojave on it. I also have older drives that can boot up into Lion (Pro Tools) and Mavericks. What is the newest motherboard that I could get and still use these older systems? Or how can I research this? Thanks.

What kexts are you running? Try booting into safe mode (-x in Chameleon, not sure otherwise) and see if you get any further messages.

Try Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx Ethernet kext. Everyone else with this board got onboard ethernet working with that one.

Better if you go to the DSDT Auto thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=235523 and read that. Use his tool on a vanilla DSDT file and you can make your own edits easily.

Are you guys using proper DSDT files and your USB is read as builtin?

For the record, I am running an Mbox2 and Protools 8 flawlessly. My system is based on a Gigabyte GA-EP45C-UD3R motherboard however and not a P55M. That said, I believe what your issue might be is the DSDT fix to make your USB appear builtin.

Your DSDT file is based on your BIOS. For a great thread that explains how to make your own, see this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=177497 However I think it's also Gigabyte based.
