I have a working hackintosh, no issues. But its old enough I can't use Mojave on it. I also have older drives that can boot up into Lion (Pro Tools) and Mavericks. What is the newest motherboard that I could get and still use these older systems? Or how can I research this? Thanks.
Better if you go to the DSDT Auto thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=235523 and read that. Use his tool on a vanilla DSDT file and you can make your own edits easily.
For the record, I am running an Mbox2 and Protools 8 flawlessly. My system is based on a Gigabyte GA-EP45C-UD3R motherboard however and not a P55M. That said, I believe what your issue might be is the DSDT fix to make your USB appear builtin.
Your DSDT file is based on your BIOS. For a great thread that explains how to make your own, see this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=177497
However I think it's also Gigabyte based.
