Yes, but the FakeSMC was on the installer's EFI, and I verified this by blocking its injection to make sure that was the issue.

I found out the issue. I was using FakeSMC not he installer and trying to install VirtualSMC on the HDD. Replaced FakeSMC with VirtualSMC and everything proceeded to work normally. Installation successful, thank you so very much!

Does this guide assume the BIOS is at literal out of the box defaults with just the 3 mentioned changes, or would something like the SATA controller have to also change to from the Intel RST Premium to AHCI? Thank you!

Thank you so very much, RehabMan! Apparently I was using the wrong codec, I have an ALC235. Properly patched and all set, however, headphones port is recognized and inserting/removing headphones is also recognized, but the sound is garbled. Any tips for a fix? Thank you again! xo
