Well, Cheaper mobo's are normally h boards, If you dont go with a Z board, you might as well forget the 4690k, as h boards dont overclock barley at all

What do you have your Vram set as in your BIOS? And as far as chimera im not too sure, But as long as you've run the latest installer, you should be ok.
