    MacMan's Build: ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING - i9-9900K - Vega 64 - Updated for 10.14.6 and NVRAM Support

Sorry, missed this. Did you run it for like 12 hours or longer? If it's stable w/o errors then it suggests your system is OK, that is it's saying whatever is wrong may be software like operating system. *Edit, and it's not testing disk so that remains suspect.

Crashing in BIOS is not good. run memtest86, errors there mean either these or maybe more. memory is bad cpu bad (rare) overheated ( see temps in bios ) memory controller bad, motherboard problem. I've run into bad memory before, overheating, overclocking too much, bending pins on cpu...

The advice from a couple pages back (look for Stork's posts) is to install Mojave and stick with it at least until MultiBeast for Catalina comes out. Mojave is still a very supported OS.

    MacMan's Build: ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING - i9-9900K - Vega 64 - Updated for 10.14.6 and NVRAM Support

Actually, I've had 3 panic induced reboots now and a couple graphic freezes, mostly while playing a game that's under some crossover wrapper, world of tanks. One panic was during a reboot so I don't know that the game is related, maybe graphics are? Re-installed the Emulated NVRAM version and...

The geekbench results on the first page are from geekbench 4, in the current version (5) they use a whole different scale. Also, my single core results went from 1000 to 1375 by quitting my web browser and all programs then running it. Single core: 1375 Multi core: 7908 then I did the ez-tune...

The motherboard in the title of this thread worked for me, but you will probably have more luck following the specific instructions from a thread about your Gigabyte motherboard instead of this which is about an Asus. Try searching on GIGABYTE Z390 AURUS PRO WIFI there are at least two...

[ Edit * this should have been in reply to @pyr0hu but I failed the internet ] The path listed in clover configurator isn't the path to config.plist in EFI partition, maybe you're not editing the correct config.plist?

[SUCCESS] Old Hack, New Tricks II - Upgrading My GA-Z77X-UP5 TH System to Catalina

You probably have but, might check compressed air on cooling vents to clear and checking cpu temps, might be cooling paste has fizzled away because some of that sounds heat related. Also memtest86 which is annoying to run buy cheaper than replacing it, sims do go bad on occasion.

[SUCCESS] Old Hack, New Tricks II - Upgrading My GA-Z77X-UP5 TH System to Catalina

My boot got slower when some clover update turned debug flag on in config.plist, just figured this out today and now it's back to super-fast boot. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-very-slow-clover-booting-on-high-sierra-hfs.248557

[SUCCESS] Old Hack, New Tricks - Mojave on GA-Z77X-UP5 TH System

*EDIT* . the freezes came back, running memtest86 showed memory errors, so whatever's wrong is a physical configuration, not what I thought here @mickelsn . It's been two days now using the older kext and I haven't had the disk access related lockups start that every time led to hitting the...

[SUCCESS] Old Hack, New Tricks - Mojave on GA-Z77X-UP5 TH System

Started having disk freezes often with this configuration, some combination of new mojave updates and my SSDs and the chipset on this boards. Used the older kext from first page of this in /Library/Extensions fixed it, though I think the more proper fix is from the link 'new ICH patch by...

No, they would not become messed up invisibly, if some dialog popped up asking if you want to format unknown drives and you clicked yes, then they could be harmed.
