I personally use a the dongle recommended in the topic head without any problems. Did you disable your built-in bluetooth in bios?

The very first line of this thread says "Apple Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad are NOT WORKING" :) There's no fix, and nobody is working on it. So I'd recommend buying a compatible dongle. This fix only works for things like keyboards, phones/headphones, but not for all people, unfortunately...

Can you please try booting to Windows first, then reboot to Mac OS and see, if this is any better than with the uploader?

Don't know. Does it work in MacOS after booting Windows 7 first? I think you should start with obtaining your VID and PID and reading last few pages of this topic about efforts on making this work on hardware other than P8P67 and BT-211.

No, there is not. Go buy Rocketfish dongle, as mentioned in the 1st post. I wouldn't recommend buying BT-211, as it's on the same chipset, and it will need the same fix. Also, this fix won't enable bluetooth after sleep/hibernate, though Rocketfish should work with sleep mode as well.

Please read the last 2-3 pages of the thread -- we've just been recently having conversation on how to get work this device (I believe it's the same device).

How about Linux? If Linux also can power it on from Parallels, then we can port the source code from Linux to MacOS.

You mean it's 3002 regardless of cold boot? I have no idea how to do that :( Does it get initialized from Linux? You can try Ubuntu from VMWare Fusion (see my experiments at the very beginning of this thread). If Linux can handle this, in theory we can also port the initialization code to Mac...

You sure it's after clean boot, so BT is not detected with Mac OS X? Please be sure to turn your laptop completely off (with desktop it requires unplugging it, or turning switch on PSU).

As far as I remember (now I don't use Atheros3k any more), PID 0x3002 corresponds to working state of the dongle (so my should be also 3002 after the firmware is uploaded), while in the state where it waits for firmware upload, it has PID=3000. That's for my device. If for your device uploader...

dcuchillas, are you using original Mac? How come you don't have /Extra dir? HoochShepherd, with RocketFish dongle you don't need to install this fix!!! It doesn't harm anything, but it will be useless.

how about 3-finger swipes? (or 4-finger, if MM has those) My MM hangs on those...

I think it's the original id it was developed for. But see the 1st post for limitations.
