[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

@Rainer1967 - I should say, my setup most closely aligns with the v3.0 zip from this thread

Did you do a kextcache rebuild? All of them, for reference when upgrading. Only VoodooPS2Controller.kext

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

It just worked. Not sure if relevant, but I had HS already, then cleaned up/upgraded my EFI folder and config.plist very carefully, then upgraded to Mojave through the standard Mac App Store download path That is the more correct place for all the custom kexts anyway, but note that I have an...

Just to add to diagnosis, I don't have secondary click through clicking on the edge of the trackpad either, though two finger click works. What is your setting in System Preferences -> Trackpad ->Point & Click -> Secondary click?

Hmmm, I have the 3 antennas installed as well. Link speed in Network Utility is now reporting 1.3Gb/s too, but my Tx rate never goes above 351Mb/s.

I have the dw1830, and am getting: Externally I'm getting: PING ms 3 DOWNLOAD Mbps 45.36 UPLOAD Mbps 109.99 through speedtest.net. In System Info, I'm getting Transmit Rate: 351 (and with a refresh, 145) Alt-Clicking the wifi icon, I'm getting Tx Rate: 145Mbps In Network Utility, I'm...

Can confirm generating and using LiluFriend.kext obviates the need for the vsmcgen=1 boot flag, at least on the XPS 15 9560. Thanks, @RehabMan , those scripts are very helpful!

Further to this, I've found that there is another way to get the DisplayPort sound output option to appear. If the lid is closed and then reopened while the monitor is plugged in to USB-C, the DP sound option appears and is selected. Note that with this monitor, being plugged into USB-C means...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Sorry, I'm not sure what I'm missing in what you suggested. All the kexts that @blazinsmokey provided in his latest zip I had already put in /EFI/Clover/kexts and in /L/E When I put them in /L/E, I chmod'ed and chown'ed them and ran sudo kextcache -i / I set...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Thanks for the reply! That didn't work for me. I reinstalled VirtualSMC.kext into /L/E, fixed perms, rebuilt cache etc, and set InjectKexts to Detect, and it went back to timing out at boot. Booting into Recovery, and removing VirtualSMC.kext from/L/E allowed it to boot again. All the kexts in...

Hi @blazinsmokey, First of all, thank you for the awesome guide! The effort is much appreciated!! I just completed an upgrade from 10.13.6 to 10.14.2 - took a while as I had to clean up and decided to switch to WEG and VirtualSMC, but now my machine is running sweeter than ever. I have two...
