Thanks for the reply. I have done some testing. Changing the clover resolution only effects the clover menu unfortunately. I wasn't using any sort of adapter, just straight HDMI to the monitor. Took the nuc into work and did the install on a 1080p screen via HDMI, all good. However, changing the...
Thanks. I'm giving it a shot and getting to the installer, but the screen is heavily torn/scrambled to the point where I cannot read anything. Is this because I am using a 1440p monitor? Any suggestions?

Hi has anyone managed to install Sierra without having to upgrade from El Cap? I assume there will need to be a different system definition as Mac Pro 3,1 is unsupported on Sierra?
Your symptoms are indicative of a lack of web drivers for sure. The latest web drivers can be found linked in this post:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/nvidia-releases-alternate-graphics-drivers-for-macos-sierra-10-12-5-378-05-05-15.222102/
These are for 10.12.5. if you need an earlier...
I use the Akai EIE pro interface. It requires a driver program from the Akai website. The mavericks one works on Yosemite perfectly for me on Z77N-wifi desktop, HP probook 6360b and Asus Vivobook x202e. It also worked perfectly in mavericks and mountain lion. The unit connects via USB 2. Hope...
Didn't work for me unfortunately, but rolling back to the WebDriver-343.02.02b04.pkg proposed by Sorenjorvang did. This was on my GA-z77n with GTX 970.
Just dropping in to confirm the update went fine on Gigabyte z77n-wifi, GTX 970, Yosemite 10.10.2 through the "Nvidia driver manager" system preferences pane.
This is impressive work. Did you notice, however that in the video and the MP3 you supplied, the chime is a semitone too sharp? (D as opposed to the regular C#) Or is this a recent change on Apple's part? I haven't heard the startup chime on a Yosemite mac.
Okay so I decided to go ahead and have a go. I installed ML 10.8.5 and it works well. I will report my findings:
The newest Elantech and keyboard drivers are very good, I have lots of fun gestures and the .plist was very easy to edit to my liking. For the functions I use, I'd say it's 85% of...
Hey folks,
I'm about to have a go at installing OS X on my x202e. I've spent the last couple of days reading through this thread whilst I awaited the delivery of a new SSD. My main question is; should I follow the guide and install Mountain Lion, or is it possible to follow the ML...
Thank you very much. That did the trick.
Just the sensitivity issue to figure out now. Do you think there is a value in the Trackpad Info.Plist that can be changed to specify the distances of the X and Y axis of the pad?
Thanks for your reply,
There is no option for 3-finger in sys pref > keyboard. Did you mean sys pref > trackpad? If so, there is nothing mentioning 3-finger in there either.
I have no keyboard issues other than the occasional lack of response on the login screen. I'll do an EC reset just to...
Hello,
I have just finished an install of 10.9.4 on a ProBook 6360b. Everything is working perfectly, other than these few issues. I hope this is the right place to post seeking help.
Firstly, the trackpad on this model is very rectangular (90mm x 45mm). I believe the driver thinks it is...
Yeah, I should have done my research before buying this card. It's not going to work. Are there any recommendations for a half-mini PCIe that is supported on both ML and windows 8.1, and compatible with the Z77n? This is the last piece of the puzzle to get my system running perfectly.
Hi,
I recently swapped out the stock intel wifi/BT card in my z77n for the Azurewave AW-NE773 (Atheros AR9280), after reading the half-mini PCIe thread. For some reason this card is not working for me OOB as stated in that thread.
The first thing I did was to test if it would work in...
Okay so it's taken me a long time, but it seems the issue all along was Ubuntu Studio, It was not installing Grub correctly to the root partition. Using a standard flavour of Ubuntu (13.10) I was able to finally get triple boot woking perfectly. It took a few attempts though, as I think Studio...
As far as I know, Ubuntu studio is identical to standard Ubuntu, the only difference being that it has a less smooth-looking (and therefore less resource-hungry) GUI. It also installs a lot of programs for Audio, video and photography that don't come with standard Ubuntu.
Thank you again for...
Okay so today I thought it might have been a previous Grub2 install messing things up, so I booted up a live CD and purged all instances of Grub. Now I have totally wiped the Ubuntu HDD and unhooked the OSX and Win7 ones. When I follow the instructions, I create the following partitions...
Thanks for the reply, but that was just the first time I tried. Maybe the third paragraph doesn't make it clear, but I also have tried the method you mention. When installing with "something else" I made a swap and an ext4 partition, set the ext4 partition to ( / ), is this correct? After doing...
Hi Folks,
I'm having issues with the installation of my third OS. I have had Windows and OS X running stable for many months now, and I use the Chimera bootloader to choose my OS at startup. Now I have recently installed another spare HDD to try out Ubuntu Studio as part of a Uni...
