    VGA to DVI Display Issues - Cant get to BIOS

    Ok so i am not sure if i installed something that overwrote my settings or drivers or what but i have a monitor that is VGA but i am converting it to DVI through an adapter.     audio works but mute function doesnt

    any idea why my audio works just fine (using apple keyboard), the volume up/down functions work but when i hit mute it registers as not working, the volume icon appears on the screen like normal but it appears like this: specs: GA Z77-DS3H i5 3570k
