No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

Having problems. Any help is appreciated. 1) I have no audio. There are no native audio devices, other than airplay and LG 4K monitor HDMI listed in output/input devices. I tried FAKEPCIID method and HDAS to HDEF patches with no luck. First terminal code (ioreg) rendered no output, so attached...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

Ok, I got everything moved over and it works. Also, it finally clicked that all the kexts listed in the kextcache were kexts that needed to be moved. At first, I was wondering how do I know which kexts I should move and which kexts should stay. My only question is are the "invalid signature"...

[READ ME FIRST!] Graphics Setup & Troubleshooting

@Fl0r!an , I have a Radeon Vega 64 (liquid cooled). My understanding is Whatevergreen is supposed to fix any issues aside from having AMD kexts fully supported now in 10.14.1, correct? I'm a little confused because I am getting boot to black. I get boot to black, but only when I'm first...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

Debug folder attached. L/E folder attached. I couldn't attach S/L/E folder as it was too large. Is there a way for me to submit a list of kexts in the S/L/E folder for you to review instead? I also attached the kexts that I moved previously to L/E that broke my system. When I moved them to...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

@RehabMan, Installing all of the aftermarket kexts to L/E broke my system. Thumb drive boot wouldn’t even work. Had to restore using Time Machine. I didn’t delete them from S/L/E however. Is that the problem and will deleting them from S/L/E fix it?

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

Makes sense. Obvious? Based on what? I see realtekALC and AppleALC listed, but there's nothing obvious about any conflict. Understood, but "properly" is clearly subjective here. There's "I installed everything using the tonymacx86 guide" -properly or there's "I installed everything using...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

I will fix it. I felt I must have installed it for a reason (a long time ago) and didn't want to mess anything up, but I will remove it. It could be leftover from a previous configuration. I don't know what to look for in kextcache output. At this point, all the kexts it's referring to are...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

Removed SSDT-EC Installed I remembered, after looking back through, I installed VirtualSMC as opposed to FakeSMC. I believe I learned somewhere along the way VirtualSMC was newer. It's now installed in S/L/E I removed patches. Installed AppleALC. Done Plex is an ap Done Will you...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

Few questions and comments to help solving these issues... I was getting unexpected results when following the guide. I removed it and will resubmit debug folder when everything is done. I'm confused by this as usually there is an actual kext. In this case, I only have the info.plist. I...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

I can understand that. It makes sense. Was that list of issues you caught the only things that you identified as a problem? Care to check the debug folder I sent last night, please? I want to confirm I fixed the problems you listed as well as take care of any others that still do. Thanks again.

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

I found this in your original guide, which is exactly what I was saying above: You can use USBInjectAll.kext to inject all ports possible for your USB controllers. With all ports injected, you can determine which ones are already used. There is also a patch available that can increase the port...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

The fact: Using the port limit patch is not a long term solution. For reliable USB (assuming your ACPI implementation of _PLD and _UPC is broken... and you don't want to fix it), you must implement a custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext that configures your ports on XHC such that the port limit...

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

Based on RehabMan's guide, and my understanding of it, you have two options: Option 1: use the port limit patch in Clover (didn't work for me) Option 2: use the -uia_include/-uia_exclude bootflags in your config.plist to get specific ports to show up. For example, you currently see all HS...

Got it. Even though this guide is for a laptop, it should be fine, right? Just confirming. Makes sense. Thanks.

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

When RehabMan mentioned the kext, I had not clue where to go to get it, so I searched for it. I found a different location that only had the 100 and 200 series kexts. Thanks.

[solved] Mojave 10.14.1 update lost USB 3.0

Moving on. It's fixed. Geez, I thought I was hardheaded. lol! That's a rather biased response considering you wrote it. The USB power guide needs a little help as well. Just saying. For instance, there's no clarification for when you find both H_EC and EC in the DSDT. Also, the H_EC had...
