Removing ncpi=3000 fixed my audio problem as well!!!!!

Backed up from my CarbonCopy. Deleted the genericusb kext, reinstalled and ran multibeast before reboot. Successful install, but no audio. See attached ioreg. What are other options? Is that it for alc889 from now on?

Ran 10.8.5 again over existing installation. Attached is screenshots and ioreg from before and after. Also included is the system.log which I think contains the readout from -v? I didn't see a kernel.log

I, too, would like to point out that I rolled back my audio as I always have for all the 10.8 updates. But 10.8.5... no dice.
