    Phantom Display

Hey there, I just recently updated to 10.6.8 on my P55-UD4 board with my Geforce 9800 GTX card, using multibeast, I did update my DSTD too. And everything works great, I have full sound, wifi, (the machine boots about 10 times quicker) however.....I have this weird phantom display that has...

Core i7 showing up as core i5

I tried swapping the graphics card today, for a cheaper and crappier 8400GS, and the computer dual screen sleeping problem has gone away..... So the answer was, it was the 9800GTX card causing the problem. I imagine it must be something to do with the power it was drawing. I might stick with...

Core i7 showing up as core i5

Yep it only happens if both monitors are switched on. It tries to sleep and then instantly wakes up. I can turn off either monitor and it sleeps fine...... The really strange thing is that after I updated to 1063 for about a week it slept fine with both monitors on! I thought I had the problem...

Core i7 showing up as core i5

I tried both the option apple eject shortcut, and the regular from the menu sleep. How weird is this? I have found recently that if i boot into windows, I experience the same issue, so maybe something to do with the bios? :problem:

OK weird update, for some reason the computer has started to sleep while both monitors are on!?....I haven't changed anything....I just tried it four times, sleep wake sleep wake etc and no worries. I am also pleased to report that using a USB hub from my monitor fixed the usb not working after...

Core i7 showing up as core i5

I'm using nvenabler. Strangely, when I first installed 10.6.3 it was actually sleeping fine with both monitors. I had it over-clocked at the time, but I found aperture to be a bit unstable and giving me occasional panics. After I changed the bios back to stock speed, the panics have gone away...

Fixed, thanks mate. Pleased to report a 100% working and stable system now. (except for the having to press power button to wake from sleep, to avoid the usb not coming back on issue)

Chamelon only showing my snow drive, not windows drive

I apologise if this topic has been raised before. I have two drives (windows and mac) if I use iboot disc, both are shown on the boot loader screen, and I can boot to either by arrowing to select. However if i just boot normally (no boot disc) I am only presented with the snow drive and blue...

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Update - The Official Thread

Yep it is ATA, I'll look into that. Not a bit deal since apple has basically 0 support for bluray ATM. Here are my system specs on my signature, I hope I have done it correctly.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Update - The Official Thread

Hey Guys, everything working except for two things, the sound doesn't work (p55-ud4 I think that is 888, correct me if im wrong) and my BLU-RAY drive seems to have disappeared completely, if I boot in 10.6.2 its back and works, boot into windows no probs...but 10.6.3 ignores in completely. I...

Help! computer wont recognize any boot files!

Follow up to my problem.. It seemed that one of the drives was preventing it from booting. I have no idea why this would be the case..... I removed that drive and swapped it with an external one, and all seems fine now.
