I'm pretty sure the 4.3GHz limit is a software thing. Everyone seems to hit it so I don't think it's the silicon. The crash happens too early and too consistently for it to be temperature. Has anyone tried turning off the C-states? I have a feeling it might be that but I haven't tested it yet...
Hi all. I just upgraded my Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H i7 4770K hackintosh to Chimera 3.0 and it isn't stable any more. It boots and runs for a few minutes and then everything freezes. I've gone back down to 2.2.1 and it is much better. I have a few issues but it basically runs very well with 2.2.1...
