    tdw's Haswell ATX: GA-Z87X-UD5H - Core i7-4770K - GTX 770

I'm pretty sure the 4.3GHz limit is a software thing. Everyone seems to hit it so I don't think it's the silicon. The crash happens too early and too consistently for it to be temperature. Has anyone tried turning off the C-states? I have a feeling it might be that but I haven't tested it yet...

    Possible Bug- instability with overclock

Hi all. I just upgraded my Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H i7 4770K hackintosh to Chimera 3.0 and it isn't stable any more. It boots and runs for a few minutes and then everything freezes. Sadly a lot of mac keyboards (even those with delete keys) do not play well with gigabyte motherboards. I have a recent aluminium "Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad" and a Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H and the two will not talk to each other. I have to plug in an old PC keyboard when I want to fiddle...

    Problems booting Mavericks after install

I had exactly this problem using the recommended Gigabyte GA-H87N-WIFI board. It installed fine but it gave me errors when I tried to boot without the USB stick in place. I fixed it by changing the format of the hard drive from GPT to MBR but that isn't for the faint of heart. The regular...
