    EyeTV stuttering

I've tried using USB; didn't help BUT I'm using the audio extenstions from the Mavericks iteration of Multibeast, whatever the last one was before Yosemite's version. And EyeTV exhibited the same stuttering on an iMac running Mavericks. I had migrated to the hackintosh from that machine, so...

    Security update 2014-005 1.0 on 10.9.5

This came out today...anyone have any issues with it?

    [Updated] wildwillow's Haswell Build: GA-Z87X-OC - i7-4770K - HD4600+GT 640

Have you reinstalled a system? I have sometimes blamed my hackintosh hardware for stuff that turned out to be software related (curse you Adobe!). It just seems like it should work, which I guess is the most frustrating part. Will it run and install and do things like run Disk Utilities from...

    [Updated] wildwillow's Haswell Build: GA-Z87X-OC - i7-4770K - HD4600+GT 640

Tried this: IGPEnabler=No, GraphicsEnabler=No. BIOS intial: PCIe No dice. Thought it might have something to do with using an iMac as a monitor, so disconnected it, but still no dice. And now Maps is working. With IGPEnabler on. Maybe something else is hanging it up, expecting to find...

    [Updated] wildwillow's Haswell Build: GA-Z87X-OC - i7-4770K - HD4600+GT 640

Thanks tons! If I have both monitors attached to the GTX 660, do I still set IGFX as initial display? With GraphicsEnabler=No and IGPEnabler=Yes? That would seem counterintuitive, but so do lots of other things with hackintoshes so I'm checking. The really odd thing is that after some...

    [Updated] wildwillow's Haswell Build: GA-Z87X-OC - i7-4770K - HD4600+GT 640

I have an issue with Mac Maps, graphics and related stuff. I am currently running both a 2010 iMac in TDM via DP and Monoprice 2560x1440 IPD monitor via DVI. I've got 4600 graphics and a Nvidia GTX 600, running 10.9.4. In BIOS I have internal graphics enabled, with the PCI graphics as initial...

    Can't boot; blinking cursor

Nah, I need an external backup as well, even though I've got space internally. I have run into problems with PC stuff, and now the hackintosh, with internal drives that I suspect relates to boot order and so on. Not as bad as sorting through all kinds of slave/master stuff on old equipment...

    Can't boot; blinking cursor

Wat a clusterf. The TM drive was so hosed. Then turns out my external enclosure doesn't like 3TB. So couldn't fix it with another Mac or PC. And back in the hack it nuked startup, even when I changed position. So I found another drive and did a new TM backup, and just bought a new external...

    Can't boot; blinking cursor

Additional info: Re-ran most recent Multibeast with my defaults, which are basically the generic setup. And I disconnected all but the boot SSD; it booted fine with the Unibeast USB, and got going on my boot drive. Having a few issues with Finder, but probably unrelated to hackintosh...

    Can't boot; blinking cursor

I had been having some trouble that I thought was system related (posted below); finally restored from TM and got machine going. Booted into it and was doing things like letting Spotlight rebuild, etc. It also began doing a new backup to TM. Probably not necessary, but I sort of forgot and let...

Can't get into BIOS or boot

Must have been a system problem. I restored and it works. Frakking Adobe had me delete some stuff and it crashed it super hard. Never had software bork a whole volume like that before. Wish I had a utility that would just delete every Adobe addition.... Anyway, for future instances like this...

Can't get into BIOS or boot

Sorry 'bout the profile; it was there but I didn't realize the "other" info didn't show up. It had been entered a long time ago. Still getting no boot. Ran Multibeast again and installed the same stuff as before. Didn't work. Ran in verbose mode; stopped at USBMSC Identifier (non-unique)...

Can't get into BIOS or boot

OK. Used my USB Multibeast stick; finally found out it had to go into a USB 2 slot, not 3. Gave me the option to boot into my clone, which went fine (SOO SLOWWW). SSD volume seems fine, permissions, volume info, etc. Can't figure why it won't boot.

Can't get into BIOS or boot

I had some trouble with some Adobe products and their Application Manager crashed. I went to restart, and I get past the Gigabyte info and the tonymac splash screen, then gray with Apple and spinning gear, and then a circle with a slash appears over the apple logo. I keep trying to get...

    EyeTV stuttering

Yes to the coreaudiod; hadn't noticed that before. Intermittent though. And I am using alc898. It will often leap up to maybe 30 when the audio stutters. Any ideas? I sent a bunch of stuff out to EyeTV, and they were stumped. Thing is that the same thing was happening on my 2010 iMac, but it...

    [Updated] wildwillow's Haswell Build: GA-Z87X-OC - i7-4770K - HD4600+GT 640

Are those the CUDA drivers for Nvidia? I didn't see anything specific for the GTX 660, which is what I've got. I'm running a 2560x1440 IPD monitor and an iMac in target display mode, if it matters. Any advantage to these, and do I just install them and repair permissions again (I've already...

    OS X 10.9.3 Update

Worked fine for me. I'm using a 2560x1440 Monoprice IPS 27" monitor with an Invidia GTX 660, along with a 2010 iMac in TDM. Sound is fine. I also noticed that problems I seemed to be having with clock syncing with time servers have gone away, although that might be an indirect consequence.

    Security Update 2014-002 - Includes Safari 7.0.3

Worked fine for me; restart seemed to hang so I had to power off and restart. I ran it from the MAS (sorta by accident; better to download the updater and go that way). It seemed to cause more issues with my 2010 iMac; I had to re-grant accessibility permissions for a bunch of utilities, and...

How to set intel hd4600 to get the 2560x1440 resolution?

Might be that Mavericks won't do the bigger resolution unless it senses display port? dunno. It turned out that the DVI port on my mobo only did 1920x1080 so I couldn't get via anything but display port (I don't have a HDMI monitor to test that on). I've heard you have to use SwitchResX or...

    EyeTV stuttering

I can't seem to get EyeTV to work properly on my hackintosh. It stutters like crazy, but the odd thing is that when I mouse down on a menu, the stuttering stops. As soon as I release the mouse button, stuttering resumes. I've tried running as a different user with no add-ons, disabled all...
