When I select the USB partition in the chimera boot menu, my screen goes black for a few seconds, flashes the apple logo, and restarts the computer, please help! thanks!

My Mavericks USB won't boot, it shows in the boot menu but when I select it, even with a -x flag it flashes the apple logo and restarts my computer. I tried re-making the drive with no luck

I used the combo update and everything work fine! phew! ill update if I end up with any issues but so far im pleased...I didn't even have to reinstall audio!
