How did you manage to get Mountain Lion installed? Did you start with Snow Leopard and then upgrade. I bought snow leopard and I have the same laptop but I can't get it to boot on Snow Leopard, I get a kernel panic error.

I have managed to install Snow Leopard on my Lenovo Ideapad Y570 with 2nd generation i7-2670QM CPU. When I try to boot after the legacy iBoot cd I get a blank screen. If I use the GraphicsEnabler=No I get a Kernel Panic crash which looks nasty. What can I do from here?

Can iBoot be installed on a USB stick and then booted from the USB stick. I tried this after changing to setting in my Bios to boot from USB first but when it tries to boot it just gives a disk error and press any key to continue.
