Question: I have a P67A-UD3-B3 and a ASUS R9 270X. This motherboard has no support for integrated graphics. Am I SOL on Sierra until the boot to igfx issue has a solution?
Well they've covered a costal location with Mavericks and then a lush location with Yosemite. If they are trying to hit the California climates my guess is they would hit a desert: Mojave, or maybe a ski/winter destination: Mammoth or Tahoe.
So brief update: Awhile back I started to run into the black screen issues when booting with two monitors. I have not been able to nail down the issue. One minute everything was working fine, next minute not so much. After much :banghead: I just started disconnecting one of the displays before...
I don't know much about your build, but are you using an SSDT? I have R9 270x and noticed that when using an SSDT with Clover and El Cap that my GPU was under performing substantially: by 35%-50% in every benchmark. Without the SSDT it runs fantastic.
FCPX loves ATI/AMD. I was in the same...
I posted about my success updating my GA-P67A-UD3-B3 F9 to El Cap here awhile back (pre-multibeast 8): http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-guides/178117-success-upgrade-p67a-ud3-b3-asus-r9-270x-2500k-yosemite-chameleon-el-capitan-clover.html
Disabling USB 3.0 completely and CPU EIST...
Change frightens me. I have done many successful Hackintosh builds and installs, all using Chameleon/Multibeast. So when it became clear changing to Clover would be necessary to upgrade to El Capitan, I immediately started dreading it. I’d attempted a Clover based install before and given up...
I just picked up this ASUS 270X from my local MicroCenter last night:http://www.microcenter.com/product/425141/Radeon_R9_270X_Overclocked_2048MB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_Video_Card
I was worried I was in for a battle, I've always used Nvidia with my hacks. Very happy to say this card worked right out...
I've been reading this thread: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-laptop-support/102965-lenovo-s400.html
Seems the OP there was having the same issue I am at the beginning while trying to install ML, but his was just solved by re-creating his USB installer. I have had no luck with that...
Hello,
My wife needed a new Laptop for the teaching program she is going into and yesterday we picked up an IdeaPad S400 for $300 on clearance from MicroCenter. Sa far I'm quite impressed at the bang for the buck:
i3 3217U @ 1.8 GHz
4GB of RAM
500GB HDD
Windows 8.1 Pro
I'd love to...
Great if it was your wifi card, but I second the concerns about you GPU. I had similar trouble installing 10.9 on another MB but using an 8800 GT. It would boot to the desktop, but as soon as I tried to just about anything 9 out of 10 times I would get a KP. Backtraces were always something...
I'm glad that the install worked out for you guys. Bummer you couldn't do an inplace upgrade, but time machine really helps in those cases.
FCPX is running for me, though a little buggy and I have not yet upgraded to 10.1, so there might be something in the update. My guess is that your...
I ran 10.8.3 on F9 no problem... I don't know the specifics of your install so your mileage may vary. Are you using a DSDT for the F4 bios? I imagine all you'd need to do to get it working in the event F9 broke it would be to have a unibeast flash drive for 10.8.x on standby so you could boot...
My suggestion would be to update the Bios to F9. That is what I am currently running.
About a year ago I clean installed 10.8, this was the guide I followed: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-guides/67939-p67a-ud3-b3-rev-1-1-success.html
I I was running the F5 or F6 bios back...
I just finished updating my hack running a p67a-ud3-b3 (Rev. 1.x F9 bios) + 2500k + GA GTX650Ti to 10.9 from 10.8.4. The whole process went very smooth. Mostly for kicks, I decided to try an in place update after backing up my previous installation.
•Create Unibeast Flash Drive named...
After reading your post I just completed my own fresh install on this exact same board, upgrading from F7 bios to the F9 version first. Everything went pretty well and I'm 90% up and running. I have a couple of issues though.
Setup:
P67A-UD3-B3 1.1 F9
Core i5 2500k @ 3.6 GHz
16GB RAM (4...
I picked up a rev 1.3 version of this board and a i3 2125 this weekend. I was able to get everything up and running doing a fresh install of Mountain Lion using UniBeast and EasyBeast. No DSDT!
I got ALC889 audio working by installing the following kexts from the latest MB:
After...
Re: Impossible to migrate from Snow Leo Server to Lion Server
I was having this problem upgrading from 10.6.8 Server to 10.7 Server also. Here is the solution.
After you have downloaded Lion AND Lion Server AND run xMove but BEFORE you reboot to the install partition you need to do the...
