[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Does anyone else have problems with IGPU Multi monitor and 6000 series? With my 6900XT and a Z490 Pro Art I'm having black screen issues at boot, thus I have to reconnect DP to a different output. Weird.

    Stork's Thunderball II Build: ASUS ProArt Z490 Creator (Thunderbolt 3) - i5-10400 - RX 580

I use VMachines quite often and have had 0 issues so far, which OS version are you running on macOS? Is it the 2.5G Ethernet or the 10G

If you are on a i7 then yes, if you are running an i5 then no, I have tried them both and can't seem to run the i7 without Fake CPUID

Here is the modified version of USBInjectAll.kext I modified to be able to recognize all USB ports, give it a go and make your own USB kext or just use the generated UIAC.aml along with USBInjectAll like I do (for some reason the generated USBPorts.kext didn't quite work on my specific build)...

    Stork's Thunderball II Build: ASUS ProArt Z490 Creator (Thunderbolt 3) - i5-10400 - RX 580

I don't think having a line-up at your back will prove any more efficient hardware towards future iterations, but I believe most AIBs are just rushing to launch new products every year which only makes hardware worse, most of the time it will take almost 6 months to a full year before firmware...

Just use the .kext I attached on my previous post with SSDT and remove IntelMausi, not compatible with this board.

Besides first gen: There has been problems with overclocking. You couldn't turn on completely XMP with CPU turbo rates, which for some reason was giving away problems and system just wouldn't boot. RTC is not properly patched thus the boot issue. All PCIs share bandwidth with different devices...

I will have a look and report back Are you not using the FakePCIID kexts?? EDIT: Activate "DisableRtcChecksum" quirk to get rid of the BIOS post error

    Stork's Thunderball II Build: ASUS ProArt Z490 Creator (Thunderbolt 3) - i5-10400 - RX 580

The board has its limitations unfortunately, I have been using it since summer and had to deal with several issues, the first BIOS was a mess, couldn't even properly configure CPU clock and other options. @Stork are you on 0.6.4? I have a strange issue every time I turn on from cold where the...

I also got in contact with GB a long way back and their response was very similar, they said they had no reports of the issue and that their BIOS where working as expected :/

Hello @oreoapple sorry to get back to you so late, yes, you need to use the simplified version of the SSDT, but let me point you in the right direction. You need to go follow steps on this link to be able to create your own SSDT, the tool was created by @CaseySJ for his build and has been the...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Just because a macbook has device XHC2 doesn't mean you should, nor that is the correct one, most likely Apple just decided to go XHC2 due to device id or something similar, our NUCs can (actually almost any MB) could have their devices renamed to anything we like, true is that certain SMBIOS...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Hi guys, I have been out for quite some time, work, life etc... I have been also "working" on this little babies, I have found few things that maybe none of you have tried. Have any of you tried an eGPU? With no SSDT I wasn't able to make my Razer eGPU work, system would crash on HP and would...

    AsRock X299 Creator

Hi @oli.mathieu just disable secure boot in .plist, its sitting on "Default" I think, change to "Disabled". Reboot, reset NVRam, that should do it. Are you on 0.6.3??

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Well not much yet, the only method I know so far to have a better TB functionality and unfortunately I haven't been able to try patching the firmware myself. I've been having even more work due to COVID and has rendered all my fiddling time gone :( as you can see I am barely active these days...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

I have tried having two TB controllers (I actually tried 3) on the board and it worked no probs, but of course I firmware flashed both (on board and Titan Ridge PCIe AIC cards) with custom CR8, with 0, 1 and 2 bus for the OS to recognize the controllers, besides I had to jump wire pins 3 and 5...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

Hi guys, I think we could see support for our 10th gen on current Catalina but only with a special build, since the new iMacs came out, I'm sure there is a special build for those including full support for the 10th gen CPU's. We might be able to download a new 10.15.6 build version within few...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

How are you migrating to 0.5.9? Many users make the mistake of migrating copy/paste all of their EFI files and that's an error (don't know if that's your case), OC .plist should be the one provided with OC build, OpenRuntime should also match OC version, otherwise you'll get errors at boot...

    X299 - Open Core support

It seems your .plist is either incomplete or not compatible with OC version you are trying to run. I would download the latest release (not a compiled 0.6.0), open both .plist with ProperTree and compare.. The fact that your OpneRuntime is r10 and you need r11 points to a wrong .plist and...

    Intel NUC 10 Frost Canyon

I have, I just haven't had much time for messing around, it works as it is so far, only thing remaining where correct USB speed detection through TB port, without proper FW flash things are a little harder for me right now.
