I should also add that now under hardware > ethernet cards it says "This computer does not appear to have any PCI Ethernet cards installed."
Occasionally it shows the card info, but it mostly says this when I check. Very strange...
Hi @CaseySJ Currently, this is what I see. But the odd thing is, sometimes it shows the card in system profile and sometimes it says there is no card. I can confirm a working ethernet cable is connected.
Hi @CaseySJ thanks for the EFI to try. Same result with that one, no Ethernet.
Looking around here and elsewhere, it seems that problems with the i225-V Ethernet on this board are common.
I've heard mention of a "kernel patch" that fixes the issue instead of the included kexts, but can't find...
Hi again, my Z490 Vision G install is finally booting on it's own without the USB. (my error)
I am still having two small issues, Bluetooth and Ethernet. I have the Fenvi T919 card and wifi is working great, but when I go to bluetooth preferences it won't show any of my nearby devices.
Ethernet...
Anyone have an idea why I can't boot into OpenCore from my SSD? I can only get to the picker if I still have my Catalina USB installer inserted. I mounted the EFI on my SSD and transferred the EFI from the USB into this folder.
Hi @CaseySJ ,
Thanks for the folder. I thought I had followed your guide exactly but maybe I got it wrong.
I tried using this folder and was still stuck at the Apple Logo again, but I did finally get the installer to work by checking the
CFG unlock options in kernel quirks. Seems CFG lock was...
Hi @CaseySJ ,
I am a little confused about the instructions regarding Windows. This is intended to be a dual boot system and I followed this
from your guide. "Recommendations for Windows Dual Boot:
If this system is intended to be a dual boot system with Windows, then Windows should be...

I followed the guide and when I got to the install of Mac OS it was stuck on the Apple logo...
Hi, all! I'm following this build. However, I was thinking of bumping up to the i7-10700. Would the Shadow Rock 3 cooler still be sufficient or would it need something else? I saw an article showing peak power draw is over 200w.
Yes thank you, sorry I wasn’t more clear about this. I have an old FireWire audio device that I want to keep using, but I have my eyes on an Apollo for the future.
Yes the Asus boards are cheaper and more available. I did find the GA z390 Designare but it’s $450 USD.
I can however, get the GA Z490 Vision G for half that price. The Asus prime z390 is even less.
