I don't have this problem @rafale77. The only thing I have done when upgrading to 0.9.4 is changing the PlayChime entry from true to string Auto and the chime is working fine for me.
That was exactly what I wanted to try, if CPU PM was better using iMac19,1 SMBIOS. If you have tried it and there are not benefits, I will stuck with Macmini8,1. Thank you very much for your opinion @rafale77!
The only thing I would like to test is boot chime using the internal speaker and this...
Yes, without touching anything from your stock EFI, it works flawless (also with the bad values of framebuffer, dind’t touch any of them and it works). The kernel panic appears only if I change SMBIOS to iMac19,1. I am going to change the connection type now to see if it works.
Thank you for your response. I made the changes in the framebuffer you suggested, in fact I copied them since my own configuration where I have iMac19,1 SMBIOS working and the same problem appears, I have KP. I attach them again with the changes to this post. As I said, MM8,1 works really well...
Hi have just tried with the current EFI folder with latest changes to USBPorts, and deleted USBX. Same panic:
No problems with Macmini8,1 SMBIOS.
Attached EFI folder that gives me KP.
Thank you!
Finally I had time to make some tests. I started with your latest EFI folder that includes the latest configuration. I only changed SMBIOS to iMac19,1 and the machine gets KP when booting, so I tried leaving the SMBIOS as is, Macmini8,1, and macOS works very well completely, USB ports included...
Tried it but in my case, USB doesn’t work so I couldn’t login to the system. Is anything extra to be done to make the usb ports work?
EDIT: Mmmm, I can see this in the USBPorts.kext file:
<dict>
<key>Macmini8,1-XHC</key>
<dict>
<key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>...
Incredible work @deeveedee. Thank you REALLY MUCH!! Tomorrow will start using it and will come back with feedback. Hope Big Sur is released tomorrow too and test it with you EFI!
Hi @deeveedee
I followed Dortania Guide and this configuration is present on that guide:
https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/config.plist/coffee-lake.html#deviceproperties
I also put your audio properties PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x3) because if I delete them, I loose audio jack...
For the moment I didn't found the problem. I have tried with all possible BusIDs values but the same problem occurs. I will continue investigating.
One additional question about the 65w EliteDesk (I am thinking about searching one of it to change mine), searching in forums I see that i7-8700...
I have made de conX-type change and it seems worse than before, now one of the monitors not always wakes from sleep, it reamins black until I reconnect it. Another debug files generated while the monitor is black is attached.
Thank you very much for your help! :)
That files didn't contain the changes you suggested, sorry for the confusion. Here you have the one I have just created. As said, I have just updated to the current files in post 1. With these files, you will see that observations 1, 2 and 4 are corrected. About 3rd observation, I am not using...
You can find debug info on post 133: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-catalina-on-hp-elitedesk-800-g4-mini-the-perfect-macmini8-1-hackintosh.298530/post-2156399
I haven’t change anything but SMBIOS to iMac19,1 as you suggested:)
Thank you!
