Edited. I removed the install os partition at the clover boot by following these instructions.

Is there a way to just back out of the update? Can i just restore my OS as the default boot for clover and remove the install partition?

I recently ran into the same problem running dual GTX 980 cards and FCPX. The simplest solution (at least for me) was to remove one of them. This fixed all the stuttering.
