Thanks again for the reply GigaMaxx. I have ErP enabled, so Wake on Lan is automatically disabled. (Disabling ErP dos not make any difference.) Wake on Thunderbolt is disabled.

Bringing this topic back into attention as i encounter the same problems as described above; once i have GenericUSBXHCI installed the VIA800 USB3 ports work but my system won't shutdown. When USBXHCI is removed shutdown is working but VIA800 ports are not. Please, there must be some kind of fix...

I fixed my shutdown problem when i upgraded from Sierra to High Sierra by removing GeneralUSBXHCI.kext from /Library/Extensions. It seems USB3 still works.

I am using GenericUSBXHCI.kext v1.2.11 in L/E. Some USB harddisks work on my VIA VL800 USB ports, but most are not. Is there anything i can do software-wise to make all USB drives work on these ports? All USB drives work fine on the Intel driven USB ports.

Hi Georg, i am using iMac 14,2 I don't know how to do a screenshot of *all* the clover settings, and i doubt if that will be of much help for you either. Is the ram correctly installed? you have 2x16GB or 4x8GB?

What sys definition do you use? I have a GB score of 16100, and our builds are more or less similar. I have just 16GB ram and i overclock to 4.2Ghz.

Do i need to select Inject Intel (for the HD4000) although no display is connected?

Old thread digged up; Sata hot swap never worked for me. But now i upgraded from Mavericks (using Chimera) to Sierra it suddenly does. Has that to do with Sierra or has that to do with Clover?

I had a non working eject key. In older threads i found the solution to install AHCI_3rdParty_SATA.kext. I tried this using Multibeast 9.00 but nothing was installed. Then i did it manually with kextbeast and that worked. No idea if that is a bug or a glitch, but just wanted to report this...

I managed to update from El Cap to Sierra, the direct method. Using Clover 2.3k_r3763. Only one of my screens is working, the HDMI port. The other one, DVI, stays black. In System Pref's display's it does see two screens, but any change in the settings has no effect. I am using intel HD4000...

I always used MacPro 3.1 as system def. It was the def with the best geek bench score. Now i changed it to iMac 14.1 and the score drops from 16000 to 13600. And i get that nasty PoP! when the sound card wakes up. So, to be clear; i cannot download and install Sierra with this sys def. and then...

It's also on my mobo, this hot swap option. But afaik (meaning: that;s what i am told here on this forum) osx doesn't support it. And it doesn't work here. I can dismount it but cannot swap.

Even if there will be a CF/SD card reader with a SATA connector it won't be handy on a hackintosh as there is no hot swap for SATA drives. Then we must reboot the Hackintosch in order to mount the card. No fun.
