Here is a copy of the ioreg file as well as the original file
I obtained from the other forum which included the AppleHDA.kext and a DSDT.aml file (I personally only used the kext and did nothing with the included DSDT file).
Hi,
I see quite a few posts expressing that the HP ProBook 4540s is one of the most "cooperative" laptops to install Mavericks on. Most of the posts I'm finding though are from last year. Does the same still hold true for the newer generations of the ProBook?
Also, I see variations of the...
Hey,
Guess I owe an apology. I'm trying to learn as much as I can, but I'm not sure what you are referring to about the Layout ID. I honestly found the kext by searching Google.
I found it on another forum, apparently by a forum member there named Mirone.
Again, Sorry and Thanks!
The LiveCD worked great. Thanks!
My system uses the ALC270 codec.
I did some google searching and actually found an ALC270 kext.
I've attached it in case anyone else needs it. I used Kext Wizard to install it.

Hi,
I am currently using a Compaq CQ62-410US. I have been to HP's driver download page in an effort to determine which audio codec I should be using. The HP page wants me to install the Realtek High Definition Driver (if I were running windows that is). In light of this, I am assuming I would...
Thanks for your quick response. I was Googling this issue and found your linked page right about the time you responded. After fresh install, but before using multibeast, I used Kext Wizard to install your most recent PS2 kext. Next I used multibeast without clicking the PS2 option. Then used...
Hi,
I am attempting install of Mavericks on a laptop I've had lying around CQ62-410US.
Specs from HP
Specs from CNET
When I run the Installer from USB, ethernet, trackpad, and keyboard work fine.
After I reboot, still from USB only choosing Mavericks this time, to finalize OS X setup...
Maybe try removing the drive and attaching it externally to a different Windows machine and use fdisk or some other disk utility to wipe the disk out to factory out-of-the-box condition, then put it back and start over the right way.
First off, I backed up the kexts that would be replaced....just in case.
The steps in post #2 didn't work for me, so I restored the two replaced kexts with the originals I backed up.
The steps in post #11 worked perfectly for me. Although, instead of Rebooting, I actually ShutDown, then turned...
I had to preform this step first using the Patched version of the download you posted in post #3 of this thread.
Then followed with these steps from post #1.
Thank you so much. That was the final step to getting my 10.8.4 system completely running.:D
I noticed in your signature that you have the Rampage III Formula and GTX 580 cards and running ML. I am just now trying to set up my first Hackintosh and I have those same components. Was wondering if your cards function right in ML? Also, did you use a custom DSDT or EasyBeast settings?
Thanks
Please add Asus Rampage III Formula to the x58 motherboard drop down. I see Rampage II & III Extreme as well as Rampage III Gene, but no Rampage III Formula.
Thanks
