    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

@RehabMan Followed your guide with getting hdmi audio enabled and it works great. No issues with hotplugging it either, but now audio isn't working.

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

FakePCIID.kext + FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext weren't installed when this issue was happening. Once I had those kexts installed and the DVMT 32mb patch enabled, my laptop booted perfectly with no issues. Platform id hasn't changed in my config.plist file.

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

My version of the 5570 doesn't have a touch screen, but I did try those kexts anyway. They didn't work for the laptop, back to the drawing board with this. By the way, where did you order your BT/Wifi combo card from?

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

Got it working following RehabMan's guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-laptop-backlight-control-using-applebacklightinjector-kext.218222/ It doesn't take any longer than 15 mins to get working. Mapping brightness keys to F11 + F12 is my next challenge to tackle.

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

Look at post #7: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-weird-issue-with-headphone-jack-alc-235.234199/ CodecCommander needs to be installed first: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-eapd-codec-commander/downloads/ One issue I'm facing is once you plug in headphones, no sound comes out when...

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

Thanks for the advice. I uninstalled them through terminal and re-installed them with kextbeast. Let me know if your audio is working crystal clear through your headphones. There is a fix for that.

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

You're a gentleman and a scholar, those two kexts got it up and running. One problem I'm trying to solve is the audio. My debug zip is attached. Hopefully it can give some insight to what's the issue.

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

Got the kext from RehabMan's Github: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-acpi-battery-driver/downloads/ I downloaded the most recent one uploaded. When you download it, select the kext from the release folder. Install with KextBeast and you'll be good to go.

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

DVMT-prealloc 32mb patch was enabled again, I can only boot if the invalid ig-platform-id is changed to 0x12345678. If not, it boots to the black screen with graphical glitches and spinning wheel. Also including two links to my Google Drive, its the only way I could take a video of the booting...

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

Rehab, Thanks for the help you provided yesterday. High Sierra running on the laptop pretty good besides some fixes that are needed. The issue now at hand is the actual booting into MacOS. If the invalid ig-platform-id isn't changed to 0x12345678, it restarts a few seconds after the progress...

    [Solved] Inspiron 15 5570 Reboot

Rehab, I've tried booting with a invalid ig-platform-id, the same one in your thread (0x12345678). Going to disable the DVMT 32mb patch tonight. It that possible to do in X-Code?

Purchased this laptop yesterday from Microcenter and following the guide that Rehabman created: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/ The laptop can get to the Clover screen with no issue then after selecting"Install macOS High...

    Void's G5 Mk. II

No worries on the late reply, cutting the window will probably be on the bottom of my list for this project. Two question about your cutting. I uploaded part of a G5 sidedoor. 1. Where I've highlighted red: is that the outline you used to cut with the jigsaw? 2. Where I've highlighted green...
