Resolved one portion. now just have a video issue... slow multiple wipes between splash/login/screen and desktop... strange artifacts onthe screen

Wish I knew where I'm going wrong. Same motherboard. Has an NVidia Quadro card in it. Hangs up with spinning beachball right after I enter the password. One time when it rebooted, I camin to find the login screen, SFAE MODE in red in the upper right hand corner, and the whole machine frozen...
