;) Thank you!
Cheers!
P.S.: For the log: update to 10.14.2 via Appstore went perfectly well. Just that booting is not faster here but slower than on 10.14.1.
Thanks so much RehabMan!! Alright! This was it! Using the correct config.plist from the config-folder and editing it with correct tools did the trick! now "everything" seems to work, except iTunes radio, so I am gonna dive into whatever green and Shiki I guess, since Shiki did enable iTunes...
Thx for the advice mate! Thats what I did now, see debug files attached. indeed the ssdt looks (a bit) different. config plist is the same. booting like this works, but battery symbol is disabled, no sound available, rtc-error in bios after reset/reboot. what should I do next? :) I guess I need...
ran again ./build.sh and ./install_acpi.sh install_4x0g5_kabylake-r from the i2c branch, but the resulting ssdt's are identical to the ones posted in the debug log. how do I get them up to date? what am I doing wrong? thx a lot!
ok thx, voodooi2c working well on ProBook 450 g5 with Mojave now.
what I did:
git fetch -all
git checkout i2c
./download.sh
./install_downloads.sh
./build.sh
copy the newly created config_4x0s_G5_Kabylake-R to EFI/Clover (why 4x0s? the other one, made by the master aka not i2c branch, was...
:) nice, thx for the advice!
so i cloned it. will cd into it and then..
./download.sh
./install_downloads.sh
./build.sh
and after that
./install_acpi.sh install_4x0g5_kabylake-r
or maybe I need just the last line=ACPI-line?
:) what do you think, ok like that or did I miss something? sorry...
right, that's what I did, was a typo. I saved the raw ssdt-xosi.dsl with textmate (utf8), then opened ssdt-xosi.dsl in maciasl, save it in maciasl as ACPI machine language to ssdt-xosi.aml.
still there is something terribly wrong due to many ACPI errors leading to kernel panics. any idea what...
thx feartech!
what I did was:
1. copy the ssdt-xosi.dsl as raw into textmate and save it (utf8). do I have to edit something in that source code? then I open ssdt-xosi.aml in maciasl and save it as assembly code, which gives me ssdt-xosi.aml, which I copy into efi/clover/acpi/patched.
2. edit...
So true, after updating from the repo a new config.plist is generated by your script. replaced mine with the new one, yes the Coolstar-AppleLpss-deactivations aren't in there anymore. would manage to put it back in there.
When you say, you pushed the i2c branch to GitHub, do you mean this url...
thanks for the advice RehabMan!
- i2c-kexts I got.
- coolstar patches seem to be already in the generated config plist (config_4x0_G5_Kabylake-R)
- also in the generated config_4x0_G5_Kabylake-R.plist generated by your script there is also _osi to xosi patch. but to generate a ssd-xosi.aml is...
fine tuning the Mojave update now:
liked the latest iteration of VoodooI2c v2.1.4 on High Sierra. this ProBook 450 G5 has Synaptics touchpad. All that was necessary was to load the 3 kexts (VoodooI2C.kext, VoodooI2CHID.kext and VoodooI2CUPDDEngine.kext) using KextBeast into /L/E and reboot. in...
yes, this was it thank you RehabMan!
following the guide was the solution to all the problems here.
thanks RehabMan for the perfect guide, your expertise, patience and willingness to share your knowledge!
Cheerrio!
For the log: finally managed booting into mojave using the same efi/clover posted here. something in the Mojave install must have been wrong, because Solution was:
Reinstall Mojave via working recovery partition.
And booting to desktop finally works. Sound still doesnt work, but also this will...
Booting from USB-Stick, Clover.zip after pressing F2 and F4 included, Displayport cable (via usb-c) connected to external monitor. stuck at booting mojave, looks like the attached screenshot. i can move the trackpad cursor over internal and extended external monitor, just noting stuck. also...
here i added clover.zip, booting from usb via config-depracated.plist, cant boot into the mojave desktop.
thx a lot!
edit: update clover.zip, previous was from HDD not USB.
thanks for your reply RehabMan! Added the FullHD screen resolution 1920x1080 to the profile.
with empty progress bar i mean the screenshot below, in this situation i mostly end up when trying to boot into mojave, the progress bar below the apple is empty and doesn't "increase", as it usually...
Not sure i did it completely right, but what i did was:
1. attached the last verbose screen photo before the apple and empty progress bar comes up
2. read the problem reporting faq
3. fixed my profile by adding the laptops data HP Probook 450 G5, i5 8250, UHD 620, 16 GB RAM, trying to boot...
Hi RehabMan, hello everybody!
thanks for your advice, trying to boot from USB prepared according to the mentioned guide. attached is the clover-folder after pressing f2 and f4. i am getting many ACPI-Errors, after which the screen jumps to an apple and an empty progress bar. any clue what is...
