Fixed at last!!!!!
So I gave up and started from scratch and here's what I did.
BIOS
Set optimized defaults in the BIOS
Set SATA to AHCI mode
Enabled XHCI and EHCI
Disabled Vt-d (as seen here...
When I try and remove the SL partition using disk utility in ML it comes up with the message "partition failed with the error: couldn't unmount disk"
I need to remove this partition in order to boot ML from the HDD because the SL partition is screwing up the bootloader
Ok so I've tried all of these and none of them work.

ML install fails
Ok so I got everything 10.6.8 and I've created the Unibeast bootloader for ML.
When I boot from USB and select the USB at the boot screen I get stuck at the white screen with a grey apple logo and a spinning wheel. After about a minute the screen dims slightly and a grey square...
So shall I use the boot flag "GraphicsEnabler=No" on every boot when I'm using the iboot disk?
and is there any recomended manufacturer of USB I should use (one that's known to work for unibeast)
Will I need my graphics card for the snow leopard installation as it doesn't support HD2500 and then remove it for ML?
I have checked on the Nvidia website and there are no drivers for OS X
And also should I use HDMI, VGA or DVI-D to connect my monitor from the internal graphics?
I'm sure I've read somewhere though that the internal graphics on the I5 3470 isn't compatible...
Also do I use the Driver disk that comes with the graphics card or install them using Multibeast?
Is it true that I will be limited to 4Gb of RAM when Ive installed ML or is that only if I boot from...
So basically start from scratch but combo update to 10.6.6 to get the app store then buy ML and download Unibeast to install those?
are there any issues with my hardware that may cause problems with ML later on or are they fine?
I installed using iboot + multibeast method then ran the combo update and used EasyBeast and system utilities options on multibeast.
