Toleda,
I would like to say thank you for all your help with everything you have done to assist us with getting sound on HDMI.
Not sure if this is applicable but I tried your fix for NVIDIA by replacing DE10BB0F with my device id but that didn't take. Ended up searching the forums and found...
Check Asus' website. If they don't have one listed most likely it doesn't work.
Sound cards are a bit tricky.
With that said, if you want a sound card look for SoundBlaster Omni 5.1 or Google search for Mac compatible sound cards.
I think they have a great sense of humor with the new iMac Pro being priced at $4,999.
I'll stick with my Hackintosh. I wonder how soon Clover will support APFS.

First of all I would like to thank toleda for the script. At first I thought that the script needed to be updated but after weeks of no sound I figured I would give something else a shot.
There are 3 DisplayPorts and 1 HDMI on my GTX 1080. The DisplayPort closest to the HDMI was not giving me...

Thoughts.
I'm using the latest one version 2.8.9. I took the kext and placed it in EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other
Hopefully the issue everyone is having with HDMI/DP audio is resolved soon and VoodooHDA could be deleted.
I had a similar issue with my SoundBlaster Omni 5.1. The Omni offers either optical or 5.1 separate channel. I prefer the latter but optical was the only one that would work with the connected receiver without hissing. Eventually decided to wipe and start clean after numerous upgrades. With the...
I used the VoodooHDA program just like you in order to get sound working through my GTX 1080.
My Hackintosh is plugged into a Samsung 4K TV through a DisplayPort adapter to HDMI. This way I get full 4K at 60Hz.
I cannot answer all your questions but the reason you have multiple digital outputs...
