Is it worth it to get the 10850K + Z490 ProArt Creator for ~800 USD?
I'm not in a hurry for a new audio build, am just wondering if this is a good time
-considering 11th gen pushing the 10th gen inlet prices down
-the next Apple M1 might take over the world
-GPU shortage which means i'll have...
I was thinking of leveraging on the Nvidia 1080 cards that were going to be sold at a cheaper price point when everyone zooms for the RTX 3000s.
I know the Ryzens are great but have no experience with AMD GPUs and haven't heard many great things about the heat and noise frankly, where can I...
Success: El Capitan to High Sierra in 2020, without conversion to APFS.
Used dosdude to download a copy of High Sierra.

I tried some aluminium foil which i think doesn't do much at all and damn right it didn't. The case is a Bitfenix Prodigy Black, metal case with front and top (removable) mesh. My monitor is a simple one that doesn't add any noise. Tested the power extensions which also didn't seem to add much...
Yes it does, the further away the better, but if it's still angled at the computer it will pick it up. I can't let myself be in a constant angle anyway so i'm just gonna have to deal with some noise.
Volume pot down will have zero noise.
Just disabled the C states and EIST and i'm getting better results. Keep in mind that i'm using a hi gain amp sim with a guitar plugged in to test as i've been living with this since forever and finally decided to see what I can do about it.

I had the same issue as you guys except I had the latest version of El Capitan.
I had to go into Clover Config to remove one of the kexts that was causing the issue. I can't remember now but it might have been the AppleIntelE100 kext. Then i was able to boot into installation.
That was last...
I would still recommend an SSD... probably makes your installation and booting sequence way faster than a normal hard drive.
The USB stick you're creating is the product of many forerunners here who helped develop everything so you could just "inject" Mac OS into a brand new system easily.
A...
1. Yes I just bought the i5-6500 and it comes with a fan and heatsink with thermal paste pre-applied on the heatsink.
2. You should be able to use any SATA drive, i prefer SSDs because they are much faster.

Fresh hackintosh build yesterday, it's not reading an external NTFS drive, am I missing some kexts?
The drive works and can be read on my 2010 Macbook Pro running El Capitan.
Alright, after 3 hours I found my fix.

RehabMan's IntelMausiEthernet v2.1.0d5 works for me now.
Typing away on my new hackintosh.
