Yes it does, the further away the better, but if it's still angled at the computer it will pick it up. I can't let myself be in a constant angle anyway so i'm just gonna have to deal with some noise. Volume pot down will have zero noise.

Alright, after 3 hours I found my fix. The latest IntelMausiEthernet v2.2.0 doesn't work with 10.11.6 for me. RehabMan's IntelMausiEthernet v2.1.0d5 works for me now. Typing away on my new hackintosh.
