BCM94360NG and Continuity Camera in Sonoma

I ended up buying one of those cards and I can confirm continuity camera is working, and you don't need any Bluetooth kext and no Airportbrcmfixup kext either, works just like the Fenvi PCIE cards I have for the desktops.

Fenvi T919 and Broadcom wifi back in Sonoma with OCLP

Does anyone know if the DW1830 Wifi card (BCM943602BAED chipset) needs the AirportBrcmFixup.kext and (and its plugin AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector.kext) I tried it both ways, following this guide, but the first page of this post saying it's not needed...

BCM94360NG and Continuity Camera in Sonoma

Does anyone have this card and confirm that the Continuity Camera works in Sonoma with OCLP patches? Considering buying this, but if it's not working I have to go with a real MacBook wifi card with an adapter, this is for a laptop, I have both the Fenvi T919 and HB1200 for my desktops and the...

Down to my last problem; is wifi/BT supported on Asus Z590?

According to the Asus site, and assuming that you haven't changed it, it is Intel you can try the kexts from here. https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/itlwm/releases/tag/v2.2.0 If you are running Sonoma https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/itlwm/releases

Unable to install macOS Sonoma 14.4?

If you are using OCLP, software update will automatically tell you to download the full installer, you have to revert the OCLP patches and restart and possibly clean your NVRAM and then you can do the smaller size incremental updates

Slow boot time with Dell DW1560 wifi card BCM94352Z

After updating to 14.4 boot time became 4 min, instead of the usual 30-40 seconds, I found if I removed the Airportbrcmfixup.kext boot time was normal of course I also lose Wifi, also OCLP 1.4.1 says there are no patches available, previously system worked fine with OCLP patched under 14.3.1...

    Framebuffer patching in Sonoma

Anyone tried this with Broadwell or Kaby Lake, have 2 HP 250 laptops with those chips and HDMI out is not working, which previously worked with Ventura, followed the HDMI framebuffer patching guide, tried pretty much everything and I'm out of ideas. Anyone has any clue, what changed in Sonoma?

[HOW TO] Custom entry in OpenCore to boot Windows

Ok, I figured it out, if you put the .disk_label.contentDetails file into EFI/Microsoft/Boot folder, Opencore displays whatever name you had in that file at the picker

[HOW TO] Custom entry in OpenCore to boot Windows

I did but it still shows just Windows instead of what I named it in Windows Explorer. Also I only have 1 EFI folder, I only have 1 drive.

[HOW TO] Custom entry in OpenCore to boot Windows

Is there a way to have just the name of the boot entry changed in the picker without doing a custom entry, I noticed that custom entry breaks the startup disk behavior, opencore won't boot from the selected os or at least not if the selected os is the custom entry. Not sure where Opencore picks...

    Opencore Boot Priority

So, I was able to add a boot entry for opencore that my laptop can see and I can select it as a first boot device. I used an app called EasyUEFI, but you can probably just do it with the bcdedit command, for me it was just easier to do it with the app, although learning bcdedit is probably...

[HOW TO] Custom entry in OpenCore to boot Windows

Doesn't the new entry supposed to replace the original windows entry opencore picked up, for me it just created another entry, so now I have 2 Windows entries and I just wanted 1 Am I doing something wrong? I attached my EFI folder Never mind, Had to change scan policy so it doesn't pickup the...

    Opencore Boot Priority

Thank you, I think I figured it out, the reason the startup disk is not working is because I had to rename bootmgfw.efi to bootmgfw-orig.efi, otherwise the system only boots Windows, and this is an HP laptop so I can't select the EFI folder as a first boot device, it does show up on the boot...
