I'm running High Sierra. I *had* USB 3 issues, which was fixed after reading beckmans post. Everything works perfectly otherwise, barring the drivers for Vega. They're a bit buggy and not so mature yet.
I've got a z270-ud5, 7700k, Vega 64 build which is experiencing this very same issue. It can only resolve with holding the power button on the case to force a shutdown..
I'm running High Sierra btw..
Hey,
Does anybody with a Vega card in high Sierra experience the screen locking up to a green screen?
This sometimes happens to me after I boot to the desktop, it'll switch to a fully blocked green screen..
I just wanted to thank you for this post.
After a week of searching, reading guides, getting overwhelmed with the information out there, I followed your post, used your ACPI patched files, corrected the ports in the .AML file, and just used USBInjectAll.kext, and now all my ports are working...
Hey, I just copied this clover folder over, and my machine boots all fine into High Sierra (I have the same config as you), however my USB 3 devices still are not being recognized.
Any suggestions on why this might be?
I've edited the SSDT-UIAC file to remove ports I do not use..
So, I didn't realise we had to run the XHCI 200 series kext?
I always understood it was dangerous to run that for long periods of times, and that it should only be used on a short temporary basis?
I thought with a properly configured SSDT, we don't need that? Or do I have my understanding...
Absolutely! Thank you.
I used the iMac 18.3 definition.
The only issue I'm having at the moment, which I'm following an ssdt patching guide, is the USB 3.0 ports not working.
Hey All,
Forgive my ignorance. I've read the many guides out there relating to the USBInjectAll patches + XHCI 200 Series Patch Raise Port Limit. None of these were successful for me. I'm sure I'm doing something incorrectly.
So upon running into a SSDT.dsl template for my specific motherboard...
This is a very helpful thread.
I'm running GA-Z270X-UD5, 7700K, Vega 64
I'm using two of the internal motherboard USB headers. One for my wifi and bluetooth adapter. The other one for the case USB 3.0 ports at the front.
I currently have the issue of my USB 3.0 ports not working at all. My...
Zero editing needed for Vega. Works out of the box.
Still having issues getting usb 3.0 to work
I've tried following the guides on here to address my ports correctly, but to no avail. Using the USB Inject All kext seems to make the boot take about 4 mins, and then after the progress bar at the...
I've tried following the guides on here to address my ports correctly, but to no avail. Using the USB Inject All kext seems to make the boot take about 4 mins, and then after the progress bar at the black Apple logo screen reaches the end, the screen just goes black, and stays black.
I'm...
Yeah, that makes sense.

Well, I went into windows and installed the thunderbolt driver, and powered on my thunderbolt device once, so windows could register it.
Then after that, it worked in High Sierra, just make sure you boot with the thunderbolt device plugged in before powering on the hackintosh.
