Ah, well, if it worked then great :)
let us know if you succeed after all.
to answer your question: I ran a testmem86 program from its own USB stick. It boots and tests the RAM sticks.
And that broke my setup and started showing error pages... alloc 2.
Basically clearing CMOS solved this.
But...
Try to Clear CMOS on motherboard
My setup is z390 ud and i7-8700k. It worked for a while. Then I ran a testmem86 and started getting error allocating pages after that. Fought with it with osxaptiofix2drv-free2000 driver in clover. At least it would boot every other time.
Then cleared the cmos...
Thanks. My LAN wasn't working until I plugged another NIC card, then unplugged it :). Looks like some internal IRQ mishap. No clue. I plan just buying an extra NIC.
Your EFI was the only one that got my i7-7700 hack anywhere. I added shiki and a few other kexts and changed the fake cpu id and that was the only solution to install High Si on it. I attached it.
VM Fus 10 doesn't work on my hack I7-7700. Constant restarts of the VM no matter what I tried and changed.
I uninstalled and reinstalled VM Fus 8.5.8 and it worked to my big surprise.
I think 10 needs a lot of work...
But if anybody was able to run it successfully especially with another High...
on my p9x79 LE the USB didn't work fully until I adjusted the bios:
Legacy USB - Auto, which is pretty much Disable
Legacy USB 3.0 - Disable
USB set to Full Initialization on boot
This worked with standard Multibeast 7.5 usb 3.0 driver for yosemite
I can confirm that this list
without NullCPU
with DSDT for GA-X58A-UD3R FH
made yosemite 10.10 boot fine on my i7 930
Before that, it wouldn't boot.
I think these 3 did the trick
DSDT
10.9.5 AppleACPIPlatform Rollback
MacPro5,1
I did just 4 things from this guide:
generated SSDT for my i7-3820
patched AppleIntelCPUP..M..kext
added
SystemType
3
to org.cham..boot.
and deleted NULLCPU..kext
Now HWMonitor finally shows
x12 when idle
x35 when not
that saves a lot of watts of power.
Motherboard:
ASUS P9x79 LE bios 4801...
I put a link to kext in my first post.
I would definitely try it in your case.
It helped me a lot. It didn't hang yet since 10pm yesterday.
Feels like without it OSX sends it to sleep and then can't wake it up, so it hangs up.
Also it feels like 10.10.5 became too fragile and I even thought...
It's intel Lan driver.
I installed
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304235-intelmausiethernetkext-for-intel-onboard-lan/
and it works now.
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/396-intelmausiethernet/
My setup is GA-Q87M-d2h, i7-4790
I also had to turn off all C States, P states...
He is right and it works.
to simplify it I put the azul kext file and the command file into a zip file, in case some people don't feel comfortable editing the kext themselves or in case the links will be broken later on
In my case the BIOS reset itself.
I used GA-B75-D3H Motherboard and i3 CPU.
I updated bios and went it to check the params.
I set SATA to AHCI from IDE
XHCI to enable
Intel Grahpics Card Sleep and Deep Sleep - disable
I use intels built-in one
init IGFX first
256MB of Graphics memory
