I have a Quad Core Q9550 CPU and it reports as a Xeon. I recall reading that someone else had this problem awhile back and made an entry to Extra/smbios.plist??? I've searched but can't find anything...maybe it was another forum...anyways please chime in. Thanks! -Mike

My current Hack is a Gigabyte P31m build with a Celeron Wolfdale 2.4ghz. It works really well but I would like a bit more processing power for video conversions. Can I just swap out the CPU or will the kernel panic? What would be the CPU replacement procedure? Thanks in advance. -Mike
