Great work!!! I have a couple of Ivy Bridge rigs running Catalina and now I will follow your steps and update them to Monterey. I did installed Monterey on a Haswell rig, and is running ok, but I find it lagging and slow. I used to run BigSur on that rig and it ran fine. How smooth do you...
SUCCESS!!!! So overscan/underscan issue was easy, just made adjustments on my HP Z Display, and now I have perfect video output with this PciRoot configuration.
After reading multiple times and going through all the steps several times of OpenCore guide, I was able to Install and run Big Sur.

I am sure you already check this one...
I wanted to update a little on my iGPU issues. Turns out that AAPL,ig-platform-id 70A10000 is some kind of generic id that does not enable graphics acceleration. So I went back to OpenCore guide and troubleshooting, and turns out that my black screen and monitor going to sleep was caused by...
THANKS!!!!!!!
I've been struggling with this for 5 days. Couldn't find the solution. Should have asked you guys before.
For anyone with GA-Z490 UD AC, using intel UHD 630 hdmi output, this settings should work:
AAPL,ig-platform-id 70A10000
layout-id 01000000

Update: I finally was able to get Big Sur installed and running with OpenCore. Followed this workaround:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/big-sur-installation-crash-at-12-minutes-mark.306167/
Took out my SSD drive and installed Big Sur from MacBook Pro.
@Amylowellow Thanks for pointing me in...
Great workaround. Let’s hope the reboot culprit doesn’t come back when Big Sur updates start coming available. I think I will try your workaround. I have a z97 board with the same cpu as you.
Found this on a forum: “Your Z97 chipset motherboard is socket 1150, and supports Haswell (4th generation) and Broadwell (5th generation)”. I guess z97 is Haswell after all.
Went over dortiana OpenCore Install Guide again. Step by step, made new USB stick, new EFI, new config file; no change, still having the same results. Used prebuilt SSDT-EC and SSDT-PLUG files.
Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!!!
Installing from usb stick always reboots at "12 minutes remaining" getting this verbose screen just before rebooting, and just after "12 minutes remaining" screen.
I am sure there is something wrong with my config file and/or EFI; I have to say that it was working fine on Catalina.
Thanks to all for the support. Yesterday, I downloaded Big Sur, installed it on my macbook pro without any problems, so installer is good. I switch my Catalina install on my Hack from clover to Opencore, and system is running very good with opencore. Tried to update from Big Sur app, and also...
