    Playstation Three Case Mod

Is that an original C&C audio track on the video? Kudos!

    Project: Quicksilver Power Hack G4 (i7 4790K / Z97)

That is easily in the Top-5 of "cleanest G4 builds ever". Kudos!

    Mac mini duo

Hi there! Which exact chip do you use for wifi + bluetooth on the same mPCIe card?

    Classic LC (Build Log)

Have you looked into this ? It seems ideal for your case, since it accepts MxM cards, suitable for you "M" graphics of choice. Only problem is that it seems like an OEM product and can't be found anywhere in retail. Also, I've e-mailed them in the past regarding MxM compatibility, but never...

    GeForce GTX 750 Ti Maxwell?

10.9.5 is seeded today. Fingers crossed for updated iMacs / Minis with Maxwell love. That said, it would have been a great opportunity to put a Maxwell chip in these refreshed MBPs. 650M/750M are very old chips and fall way behind other GPUs right now. Why keep the 750M for another -say- six...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Update: Up and running So, this is where I stand right now: I have added a bluetooth adapter which works perfectly (taken from an old MacBook), dual fans in the front and everything works fine. This is the front side (I decided not to cut anything, at least not yet). You'll notice that...

BRIX Gaming i5G760 - Testing Thread

It is said to throttle quite badly, what's your experience so far?

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

I honestly don't know. Thing is, it doesn't always happen. Right now, the computer is working for 1,5 hours and it hasn't happened once. Other times it happen more frequently. I'm also suspecting the PSU: Right now I'm temporarily using a 75w external brick which might be too little for my...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Update: bits and pieces Fans up and running kudos to miniITX! The new antenna works like a charm and doesn't look like... well it's usually three ugly sticks, isn't it? And this is a custom top rear panel to host USB ports & the power switch. I'm thinking black paint but on the other hand...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

@thierry37: Sorry to let you down, but I'm getting there! I've come up with a lot of problems while trying to build it and my little experience doesn't help either. @kiwi: I think I'm close, fans are ready, now I'm building a panel for the extra I/O. I've decided NOT to drill the front panel...

    N64 Hackintosh Zotac Z77 ITX Wifi + i5 3570K

You have done a remarkable job. It's very clean and very detailed, I particularly like the USB 3.0 "hatch" I have both a N64 case as well as a classic NES case that both wait emptied and cleaned for some socketed Iris Pro graphics to be hackintoshed! A quick fix for the USB 3.0 ports...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Update: extra cooling Fans secured on the custom mobo backplate. I used an extra plexi panel to lift the fans a bit because of the ram modules. I only used two fans because I need the full case length for the PSU on the other side.

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Exactly. I've already wasted a nice Bitfenix front panel trying to shorten the USB 3.0 cables without any luck, as it doesn't work after my new solderings. Also USB cables are very thick and completely unflexible  I guess due to shielding. There are some nice USB 2.0 "ultra-thin"...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Update: Display issues fixed! This feels extremely humiliating but I have to admit: All "display" issues were caused by a cheap HDMI cable... I bought the cable from a local electronics store just because it was very short (40cm) and cheap. It works with all of my devices (PS3, MacBook miniDP...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

I bought the board with F1 but updated to F4 trying to solve the display issues without any luck. Fan speeds are also not available, but temps are. I am so frustrated with the display issues that I have almost given up this project. In order to boot without a dGPU I have to: boot the computer...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

You don't have to excuse yourself, that's my life moto: "if it works don't fix it". That's exactly why I haven't played with anything else than Gigabyte or haven't tried clover yet.

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Thanks for your comments! "Phoenix" has a very bright color scheme, not exactly my taste but it's special! If you notice, I chose GA-B85N, meaning the version without a wifi+bt combo because I was afraid of compatibility problems, so I'd rather chose to employ my trustworthy solution (from a...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Thanks for your input! This antenna looks very compact and practical but thing is, the whole case is made out of aluminum and I doubt I will get good reception (if any) if I stick it in one of the top or side panels. Apple usually sticks their antennae on the back of some plastic logo or...

    [BUILDING] The HaswellRise mod

Update: yet another change in plans I've been trying to solve the puzzle for a while now, but unfortunately things don't turn out as I hoped. I have received all parts, including angled connectors for HDMI & USB as well as PCB mount USB & audio ports but I don't think I'll be able to install...
