Hi Buddy,
I'm sorry to ask but I could really do with your help.
My build is the same as yours apart from I'm using a ASUS RX 580 8GB for my GPU. I've followed your guide all the way up to the SSDT and everything is perfect so far. But I'm totally lost with how to compile and use your SSDT to...
Hi,
For a bluetooth dongle a very good cheap option that will also work in the bios is
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001BROKXO/?tag=tonymacx86-21
You can pick up this dongle at pc world or curry's for under a tenner.
The corsair 430w will be fine but go for the 500w one just to give you that...
That's not right. Once you have a stable overclock in windows it is stable no matter what. If for osx you need to change your overclock then somthing isn't right.
How are you testing for stability under windows and how long for?
If your using intels burn test then what you need to do is...
Happy New Year from London UK,
Thanks for the best advise and help around and heres hoping 2013 brings some incredible new builds.
Simon aka AudioGod :)
I am still testing at the moment but so far I have tried everything bar downgrading the bios and nothing has fixed the problem so far.
I stripped the system back to basics with the hardware and removed all connected usb devises so nothing was connected the USB ports bar bluetooth with no...
My gosh. In the uk that board costs the same in pounds as it does in dollars...that's so unfair...lol
Like going bald said its a great board and you should listen to him above me as he know he's stuff. :)
That's great news well done and im glad I could help.
4.5ghz is a very nice overclock and your temps look good. make 90c your limit and don't go past that.
I'm running @ 4.6ghz with the same CPU and my temp peeks out at 78c but that's using a corsair H80i closed water loop.
Anyway have fun...
Here are some universal motherboard settings for overclocking, copy them and then fine tune it using the Turbo Ratio to get your overclock speed and the CPU Voltage offset to give the CPU the correct amount of power.
Use prime95 to test for stability in windows by running it without error for a...
Sounds to me like yur overclock is wrong.
How are you overclocking the system and making sure it is stable?
Are you doing all your overclocking work via windows or osx?
This is very true and it is a great board but do bare in mind that its expensive and I doubt you would get anymore oc out of it then you would with a p8z77-m pro simply because to get a solid overclock past 4.8ghz you going to need more then just a good water loop and possibly have to reseat the...
Your build is good if your not planning to overclock. If you do and you want to keep it in matx form then may I suggest changing the board for a asus p8z77-m pro.
With the setup you have and the asus board you should be able to hit an overclock of somewhere around 4.5ghz up to 4.8ghz with no...
