Bluetooth stopped working after reinstallation of a Fenvi T919

The only thing I see out of place is that you seem to have too many USB fixes, compared to me (I'm currently on a Asus Z270 board with same CPU). SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP.aml, USBMap.kext and USBInjectAll.kext Are you sure you need all three? In case you do: USBMap.kext loads last - perhaps you...

    iMacPro1,1 SNGen help

Hi guys! I installed Ventura on a Z270-P board, paired with 6700K CPU, and a RX 5700XT card. Got a genuine Apple airport card on a PCI-E adapter, and am genuinely very happy with the build, considering it to become my daily driver. I have an issue, though with the SMBIOS. I was going to use...

Ventura + OpenCore on KabyLake: "couldn't alloc class AppleKeyStoreTest"

Had the same issue last week with a Z270-P board. Move your USB stick to a USB2.0 port.

Unfortunately, my laptop got damaged and has been sent away for repairs, so I have not been keeping up-to-date. In any case, you should generally use the latest version of the bootloader for best compatibility, but also read the changelogs just in case. Bear in mind the OP was written while...

Apple Announces 'One More Thing' Event for November 10th

I wish it were that simple to become an official Apple representative and import official :D I reckon I would not even get a response - that's how insignificant of a market my country is lol!

Apple Announces 'One More Thing' Event for November 10th

I wish it were about education frankly, but degrees don't help where I live. My master's degree is only getting me so far, not to mention loads of people with basic education sometimes make more than me. It's just the gap is too small, because nobody really is well off. "Real wages" means "what...

Apple Announces 'One More Thing' Event for November 10th

I suppose it's not a matter of opinion at all, but rather a matter of a "real wages" point of view. We both quote US Dollars as currency, but where I live, you get slapped with import fees and VAT on top of everything(not mentioning retailers' markups). I would like to rely on a computer to be...

Apple Announces 'One More Thing' Event for November 10th

... and I was wrong to hope, because it didn't change after all lol! Don't know about your world, but in mine a $1000 laptop is not quite in the "cheap" departament, nor is it in the "affordable" ... if they launched it at $850 - now that would have been something ...

Apple Announces 'One More Thing' Event for November 10th

AMD and NVidia both came out swinging with lower prices than ever. PS5 is expected to do the same. Hopefully Apple aims for under $1000 laptops without having to pay the Intel tax, so they're more affordable for your everyday Joe. I may even jump on one myself, especially after my trusty HP died...

Catalina to BigSur upgrade - firmware issue

When I was installing the beta, formatting as HFS greyed the disk out for me too. I re-formatted in APFS and it worked. I think it's a new version of APFS though. When I boot back into Catalina, it tells me that the BigSur drive is incompatible... (they are both inside the laptop..)

Have a look here and familiarize yourself with the new plugins for BigSur - they need to be enabled BEFORE the base kext - give it a go and let us know?

You have two ethernet kexts declared in your config.plist - RealtekRTL8100.kext and RealtekRTL8111.kext I don't see AirportBrcmFixup.kext declared in your config.plist. Also - AirportBrcmFixup.kext is not present in your kexts folder Remember - it's not just copying your kext to the folder...

Hey guys! I've been struggling with migrating to OpenCore for a while. Finally got some help with the battery SSDT and managed to get BigSur working properly....ish. I want to share my experience. This is a guide of a sorts, but I will leave it to the forum mods to decide whether to move it...

<< Solved >> OpenCore battery patch

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do I know whether it's disabled or not? Do I need to edit something, or just delete the entries? I can see some of them are 16 bits, others 8, etc. - am I expected to convert these somehow? Offset is always 0x04 - is this what it is supposed to be, or is...

<< Solved >> OpenCore battery patch

@BlvkBytes Can you please help me a bit? I've been poking around and reading different materials - I must say, I simply do not understand the mechanics of DSDT and SSDT dynamics. I tried reading a few patched battery SSDTs, as I am getting ACPI errors during boot with OC, so I am currently...

Need help migrating my battery ACPI patch to a new SSDT

@Feartech - I am not, I just tried it for a personal sanity check. This is why I need to figure out how to migrate my working battery patch (or create a new one) over to OC. Any pointers?
