NVIDIA Announces 'Pascal' Graphics Drivers Coming to MacOS

The only change in BIOS I had to do, was to set ‘Primary Display’ to PEG, and ‘iGPU Multi-Monitor’ to Disabled. I already had the other settings in place - as set ‘Launch CSM’ to Disabled, and under Secure Boot set ‘OS Type’ to Other OS. I use iMAC 17,1 System Definition and I first used the...

NVIDIA Announces 'Pascal' Graphics Drivers Coming to MacOS

I finally managed to boot Sierra with all three monitors connected, without booting to black screen. I had already tried multiple port combinations without success, but the solution turned out to be 1 x DP and 2 x HDMI, which I actually thought I had tried already - but apparently not. :)

NVIDIA Announces 'Pascal' Graphics Drivers Coming to MacOS

Anybody who has managed to get it to work with triple screen setup? I have tried several possible solutions but unfortunately I boot to black screen every time there is more than one monitor connected. I can connect the two other monitors after Sierra is loaded, but it is certainly not a...

NVIDIA Announces 'Pascal' Graphics Drivers Coming to MacOS

Try remove the HDMI cable from your monitor, and keep only the DP cable to your GTX.

NVIDIA Announces 'Pascal' Graphics Drivers Coming to MacOS

If you have more than one monitor connected, try to boot with only one monitor connected. That was the solution for me and others, to get past the black screen.

I finally managed to get past the black screen, and my gtx 1080 Strix is recognized with all 8gb ram. The problem was that I have three monitors connected, but for some reason it only get past the black screen with only one monitor connected. Any with a triple screen setup, who has got it...

NVIDIA Announces 'Pascal' Graphics Drivers Coming to MacOS

It's starting to become very annoying. I have tried everything - tried all the different system definitions, run the ADGPfix, and also tried to edit the info.plist manually - just get a black screen after the Apple logo. Without "inject nVidia" the GTX 1080 is not recognized at all, but with...

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

I have just did my first El Capitan install on my new Skylake setup, and it went beyond all expectations. :) My setup is very similar to yours, except for the graphics card. I did (so far) a succesful install on this hardware: ASUS Maximus Ranger VIII Skylake i7-6700K 2 x 8GB DDR4 RAM ASUS GTX...

You are right about that, but only with STRIX fans, as you have on your graphics. :)

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

If about this Mac say NVIDIA Chip Model 22MB, then your graphics card is not recognized properly. Have you tried to set nvidia inject to true in your Config.plist?: <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>Intel</key> <false/> <key>NVidia</key> <true/>...

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

In about this mac, is your graphics card been recognized? If not, try to change the nvidia inject to true instead. Which system definition have you chosen, and have you changed "Config1 (or 2) in the AppleGraphicsControl.kext, as you did before you reinstalled?

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

Which flags to you boot with now, and with or without nvidia inject? Is your graphics card been recognized in El Capitan?

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

In bios you can choose between internal or external graphics. Select internal, save and reboot. Then you just have to move your DVI or HDMI cable to the motherboard instead. boot with nv_disable=1 and install the nvidia driver. Reboot and change back in bios, and move your cable back to your...

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

Nice  If you can boot without your graphics card, then I would try to uninstall the nvidia drivers, then boot with internal graphics, and reinstall the nvidia driver. Reboot and change back in bios.

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

Stange that you not had that kext installed already. Just to be sure - you are aware that the System folder is hidden by default in El Capitan, right? If you instead have looked in the /Library/Extensions/ folder, then you don't find the AppleGraphicsControl.kext. I guess you already know this...

Working i7 6700K El Capitan with 970X monitor sleeps after Nvidia drivers

I have these flags: dart=0, kext-dev-mode=1 and nvda_drv=1. I also use nvidia inject true in the config.plist file. (Don't know if your graphics card also need this to work) I forgot to mention that it was also necessary to edit in the AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext. (Can't find the link at the...
