I have searched anywhere on the internet but i have found nothing! The file updated itself to its stock values when i updated to 10.12.1 and that's how i made it work...
I managed to find my problem and fixed my wifi for good with this card! Everything mentioned here works! My mistake was that when i updated to sierra i instantly replaced my IO80211Family.kext with the one that i had modified for el capitan and everything i did was on the old kext that's thy it...
Did you actually manage to make it work? I have the very same card and the same problem on sierra
Here is what worked on el capitan and doesn't work now on Sierra..
<string>pci168c,30</string>
<string>pci168c,2a</string>
<string>pci106b,0086</string>...
Hm , i still haven't figured out how to enable it.. I followed the advice and tried both pci168c,2e/d but the only benefit i can see is that the wifi bar appears with a "X" instead of not being there at all. What does the letter d or e correspond to so i know if i have to try something else...
So none has any luck with it?
I faced most of these problems too with the modified kext..
It is such a pitty it doesn't work in El Capitan... It was such a straightforward card back in the day.:confused:
I was on 10.9.2 before and i performed a clean 10.9.4 installation. I had some kernel panics and issuses with the bootloader after the post installation (multibeast). At last i lost my bluetooth, if someone manages to find a fix for bluetooth please reply!!
Thanks in advance!
Hey!
I didn't have to use any bootflag, the boot/installation was smooth and straightforward just be aware that VGA is not supported.
Good luck with the installation.
Go to /Extra in your hard drive and open the file "org.Chameleon.boot.plist" with TextEdit, there you can find all the bootflags you use in your boot loader. Change what you want and save it but don't mess up with things you don't know and always keep a backup of this file.
I seriously don't know what could be wrong... I am going to do a clean installation in three weeks from now due to lack of time since I have school finals and try to use internal graphics as you did to see if I have the same issue! Try as well to create a thread and post your screenshot to see...
Just done it and it works like a charm as advertised! My evga GTX 650 Ti Boost 2Gb finally idles at 324 Mhz :clap::clap:
But every time i boot my system i get this weird message in order to update my cuda drivers which already are up to date...Anyone knows how to make it go away,or i just...
It's no problem man, there always is a first time for everything :D I mean when you are at the bootloader type:
-v(space)GraphicsEnabler=Yes
See if it works if not reboot and this time type:
-v(space)GraphicsEnabler=No
Glad to help.
Well, it makes no difference -v (verbose bode) shows you step by step what happens while you are booting and it makes it easy to diagnose the problem if you stuck.
Try both and send some screenshots if you still can't make it to the language screen!
1.Yes indeed, enable the internal graphics and check they are first
2.XHCI makes no difference, Smart auto doesn't work in OS X that's why most people use Auto so i suggest to set it Auto
3.Well as i told you i had experience with VGA and it does not work, so i did the installation with...
Hello, thanks for feedback and sorry for deleyed answer, i forgot to subscribe to the thread :/
So lets start!
I currently don't have the laptop, since i sold it in order to build a pc-hackintosh. As far as i remember i could install only LION with the unibeast way (shown on tonymacx86...
Hello again I am glad to help !
As for boot options/priorities set your usb flash drive with the OS X installation.
Also let me know your bios version and if you have an older version try to update it. i have F5 which also is a bit outdated but it may help.
Let me know the results :D
So...
Well as far as i remember i didn't use any bootflags, just the typical -v (verbose mode). Try to use -x -v and set the default bios settings and use AHCI. Also if you are using the intel hd graphics avoid the VGA port since it doesn't work in OS X and the boot stucks on the apple logo. Hope i...
