I've seen a couple done in the fashion, gotta google it. http://www.ehmac.ca/anything-mac/85061-mac-mod-project-macbane-converting-my-powermac-g4-core-i7.html
The putting the other power supply in another PSU case, I think that's mostly for the G5s. Normal ATX PSU will fit. Also, other options for mounting the PSU so you can use larger coolers.
HA!, you're too kind. No I painted all of this outside. Lot of cardboard on a T.V. tray. I did at least 2 coats of paint on everything and a couple clear coats. For the plastic motherboard piece, I taped off that reflective part and used some semi-gloss krylon spray paint. All was going well...

Hard drives came, now it's time to configure! Sorry, not running OSX, going FreeNAS.
Why spend 50 bucks on software when you could get hardware for cheaper? I just bought this and I'm happy with it, both in functionality and looks http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992013&cm_re=fan_controller-_-11-992-013-_-Product

Alright, got my x5650 at 4Ghz and stable. Thanks for the suggestion justr. Now I just need to get yosemite working. It keeps freezing after about a minute. I went the dsdt free route as I always have, now I'm trying with a dsdt. Do I need to do anything with ssdt tables or whatever? It's...
Must resist face palming....
OK, looks like you're trying to enable open CL for premiere or after effects. (or actually cuda but open cl would work too)
Google adobe cuda hack. Pretty much you just add GeForce GTX 760 to a .txt file.
It's easy, I do it all the time.
Update to latest OSX or it won't work. Unless apple decides to add support to 10.6.8 and 10.7.5(doubtful), it's never going to work, so just update or don't have a working 770 gtx, it's that simple.
