    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

@eliaden I made a few changes that are making the hack work better that you may be able to benefit from. To fix sleep: 1. Change aperture size to 1024 (turn on your igpu) 2. Add keepsyms=1 agdpmod=pikera -wegnoigpu <-- disables igpu The -wegnoigpu boot arg also eliminates the long wait time for...

Where is this setting? It's missing in my BIOS. Edit: Nm - I had to re-enable the iGPU in the BIOS and reboot.

Curious what your Gigabyte biscuit scores were? Anyone care to post? I had mine at 83 and topped out at -70mv.

Another question for you. Did you end up buying a CPU Frame? Curious what cooling solution you went with your rig given that from what I am reading on the internet it runs hot?

Got it. Future proofing with the shift to Linux will be important for me as well. Thanks for the rationale.

Awesome! I'm looking at building almost the exact same build :) Did you use the same efi posted by valvator in July? If not, would it be possible to share your Efi? What was the reason you needed to generate a new ssdt? Thanks!

Hi @valvator I'm about to pull the trigger on this mobo and was wondering how well it was working for you since your last update? Thanks!

I'm debating between getting the Aero G vs the Aorus Elite X. For those of you who made the choice, may I ask why you chose one over the other? It looks like the Aorus is working perfectly. But from what I can gather on these posts, the Aero seems to be workable as well (perhaps with a bit...

Update: I tried updating to 12.5 with the kext and it's still stuck. Looks like I'll be headed back to 12.2. :/

Monterey 12.3 and Sandy Bridge CPUs

Got it. Thank you so much! I know the link (I posted there in the same thread with the same handle). This is very interesting. I'll give it a go when I have some time. The poster indicated it didn't work for them at the time. Just a last question. You added ASPP-Override.kext to your kexts...

Monterey 12.3 and Sandy Bridge CPUs

Thanks for that. Is it possible for you to repost without the links? I can search google for more information with the keywords to try to reverse engineer the links. So I understand correctly, you are saying speedstep is actually working for you then? Also did you simply add this kext, or was...

DummyPowerManagment will disable power management so you are basically running at full throttle all the time. Not ideal. What does ASPP-Override.kext do?

No. I'm stuck on 12.2 for now. I think I may revert to Big Sur. Looks like the end of the line for Sandy Bridge. Served me well for 10+ yrs.
