ASUS G60Vx ROG Laptop : Can't wake up from sleep

Yet another edit - added S3 support at the ports later in the code, changed the states to 0x0F in your PS2 devices and FN keys as well as redid the wake state to call to the port rather than the GLAN. Can you send your latest IOReg?

ASUS G60Vx ROG Laptop : Can't wake up from sleep

What happens if you repair permissions when you wake up the laptop? Do you see any that need to be repaired? Also this has always been happening? Or you are seeing it now that your system can wake up from sleep? I'm sort of confused. It sounds like a common usb problem upon waking from...

[Help request] AMI/Phoenix DSDT editor wanted [OLD]

Re: [Help request] AMI/Phoenix DSDT editor wanted As far as I can tell these are two identical copies of MSI P55-GD80 that are partially edited yet FUBAR. It's no doubt you are getting KP. These were vanilla (meaning you personally extracted them from your bios) or you got them from someone...

Greatest Hits section aka FAQ or solved threads

Obviously repetition is annoying as are people who won't search. But I see people daily who try to search for things and cannot find it if their life depended on it since they don't understand the concept of keywords. Therefore I propose a "Greatest Hits" section where a copy of a thread that...

ASUS G60Vx ROG Laptop : Can't wake up from sleep

Que? :banghead: Because I'm apparently going blind. The SBUS needs to be spoofed for ICH10 since there is no lower equivalent. Argh. Now it should work and possibly the other edits I did since a working SBUS was the whole purpose of most of the code I added. No wonder nothing improved...

    Any Danger in DSDT/EFI emulation?

Since it's emulation, no unless you see your temperatures spiraling out of control and you just sit there and stare at it like a goon  Seriously though I've been my computers to a pulp out of OCD, PMS, ADD, and everything else in between and there's nothing that ever happened that a few...

    Any Danger in DSDT/EFI emulation?

Theoretically I agree with this idea but has anyone actually damaged their CPU doing this? Based on my own tinkering I've found that either OSX either ignores my edits or kernel panics. There isn't much middle ground for desktops. I'm just thinking out loud since I read this thing all of the...

ASUS G60Vx ROG Laptop : Can't wake up from sleep

Trackpad - good question. I'm going to look through some more MacBookPro code and try to see if I can find something new. I'm going to go back and double check but just in case I'll ask it here so I don't forget to ask later - did you send me your Everest dump (just device ID) or your LSPCI...

ASUS G60Vx ROG Laptop : Can't wake up from sleep

I took out the S3 from the hubs (probably related to it showing up as expansion) but kept it in the ports. I've been getting that confused lately...just silly mistakes. I added some code to support the Event controller and put back the CIR for now even though I don't think it's active in OSX...

ASUS G60Vx ROG Laptop : Can't wake up from sleep

I think it's the Event controller - ok I'll take a look now. Good - keeping track of kexts is the key also. Edit - What does the Voodoo TSCsync do? I wonder if it conflicts with the power management code I added to the CPU.

Geforce 9400 GT no dual screen no DVI output

Basically what's done in that DSDT is a good example for anyone having graphics cards problems - it might be your bios. What I did was the Gigabyte version of the Windows 2006 DSDT edit aka enabling all devices on the motherboard. This edit will also probably help those who want to use two...

    ASRocks DSDT 's

Re: ATTN FatShenanigans ASRocks DSDT 's      Just use GraphicsEnabler=Yes and then just send me the new I/O reg and I can add the code to the DSDT.

ASUS G60Vx ROG Laptop : Can't wake up from sleep

This is cool because your board probably represents about half of the current ASUS laptops. Try this file first and let me know if it solves any problems. I changed your USB devices to match the ICH8-M platform since your device ID's are only one number away - with the ICH10 they were way off...

GA P55 UD2 10.6.3 (USB) Sleep Fix via DSDT

I don't understand why you are so quick to judge or assume. You assume that I was being arrogant. Is it because I pointed out something to you about the iMac? A fact is a fact and it is what it is, no more no less. I didn't say it to contradict you if that's how you read it. if you know how...

GA P55 UD2 10.6.3 (USB) Sleep Fix via DSDT

Right - it's not in the DSDT but in another ACPI table that's referenced by the DSDT table. Easily? Right on. Tony, can you send Winstonace your DSDT collection (from your board alone) that can fix what we've been working on? I'm all ears :D

    ALC888 32/64-bit AppleHDA.kext (10.6.3)

Re: New ALC888 32/64-bit AppleHDA.kext! For those who want to do this I just wanted to chime in as Devil's Advocate: If you overwrite the AppleHDA of 10.6.3 you are no longer "Vanilla" even if you're using 10.6.2 AppleHDA since it was rewritten at the binary level. Since audio has...

Mac OS X 10.6.3 Update - The Official Thread

For those using voodoo and wanting audio to work after sleep (this app ensures sleep also) "Lights Out" is a must have: http://www.northernsoftworks.com/lightsout.html It has a 30 day trial but I bought a copy after voodoo worked for the first time ever after sleep and I didn't need to reboot...

GA P55 UD2 10.6.3 (USB) Sleep Fix via DSDT

I've been coding my DSDT to only have two main hubs - ECHI/UCHI or EUSB/USBE and removing all of the ports since 10.6.2. In the ASUS P7P55D-E there are only two hubs in both Mac and Windows under Everest. The P7P55D-E is technically a newer revision. The real iMac also has the exact...

    ASRocks DSDT 's

Re: ATTN FatShenanigans ASRocks DSDT 's I don't know why the following works but it does in these situations - maybe a mextensions.kext in the USB: Use another Mac to install 10.6 and the 10.6.3 combo update to a usb. When you boot, have that USB plugged in so that you see it and your boot...
