@NorthAmTransAm only now did I find your request for testers for alpine ridge ssdt.
I have a GC Alpine Ridge 1.0 with Aorus Master Z390 and recently upgraded to Ventura.
Over the years I tried several times with hotplug ssdt etc. but eventually gave up.
Are you still open for testing/guiding?
hda-gfx is a boot argument, if you're using it then it's in clover's config.plist
Anyway, my Z390 Aorus Master sleeps well. Hibernation is not going well. It shuts down and when I wake it, it reboots.
Only way for Clover to show (hibernated) is by using the Clover option 'stricthibernation'
Yeah, I use layout 16. I do that with alcid=16 as a boot argument. And for Clover: Set Devices → Audio → Inject = NO
Both are as instructed by the installation and usage guide of AppleALC.
My boards have smartfan functio build in BIOS. So the fans operate as they should independen if the OS.
There are one or two tools I tinkered with, but none worked as in Windows or like a real Mac.
Regarding you 2nd question: I don’t have a wired keyboard/mouse, but a Logitech wireless set...
Glad to have sorted it out.
By the way, mine has some sort of 'metal box' on the card that's inserted (it's kind of a case that covers also the connector). Then on the side of the 'box' there's a rectangled hole where the cable is to be inserted.
So you have a connector on it? And you wired that connector to an USB hub on your mobo?
If not, I would definitely return it. If there is and you have it connected then it's probably faulty.
Does it work in Windows?
An alternative that I also have is this one...
I have a GA-Z170x Gaming 3 with a Fenvi-T919.
The Fenvi-T919 BT is connected directly to the mobo USB.
As kexts I've installed: AirportBrcmFixup and BT4LEContinuityFixup.
Everything works.
Hi,
I have a GA-170X-Gaming3 EU v1.0 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 with hardware decoding enabled of the internal HD530.
Please find attached zip with my config.plist
Note that some of the patches are marked as disabled! I.o.w. I don't use them with my current High Sierra configuration.
In...
Thanks for clarifying RehabMan. Your remark that it affects color mapping, made me experiment...
I switched color profile (from AdobeRGB to AppleRGB) and guess what? Nightshift works!
I switched back to AppleRGB and it still works. Yes, also after a couple of reboots :)
I thought of that too. However, the steps described by Pike gave me workable results with 10.13.3 and 10.13.4.
Thus for 10.13.5 I execute:
nm /S*/L*/PrivateFrameworks/CoreBrightness.framework/CoreBrightness|grep _ModelMinVersion
And I get as result:
0000000000036300 S _ModelMinVersionBLR
Then I...
