Step by Step Fix for iMessage - Requires Clover (Alternate Bootloader)

Thanks for these suggestions, guys. I tried them all, but to no avail. But my problem is fixed, here's what did it: The problem appears to be the first USB keyboard that I tried. It works fine as an input device for the Chameleon bootloader, but not for Clover. I used a different USB keyboard...

Step by Step Fix for iMessage - Requires Clover (Alternate Bootloader)

I'm in this situation too – once I reach the Clover splash screen, I cannot use my mouse or keyboard. The screen might actually be frozen, but I have no way of telling. Does anyone have additional suggestions for this problem?

CustoMac Pro 2010 - White Screen Attempting to Access Safe Mode

When I try to boot into Safe Mode, I just get a flickering white screen. Normal mode works fine. I need to be in safe mode to attempt to correct a weird bug in my Messages and Facetime apps. I can provide more details (, and I probably will when I have more time). My specs are as shown...

Mountain Lion Install Successful; Hard Disk Constantly Thrashes Now

Hi Tony, thanks for replying. I thought it was Spotlight at first, but the indexing stopped over an hour ago. Update: Hmm, looks like this may be related to my ntfs-3g driver. As soon as I unmounted my NTFS drives, the thrashing stopped. edit: if your drive(s) are thrashing...

Mountain Lion Install Successful; Hard Disk Constantly Thrashes Now

Hard Disk Thrashing; Check Your NTFS Drives Greetings all. I finally have a working Mountain Lion install, but the hard drive appears to be reading pretty much constantly (see attached). If any of you have run into this, do you have some idea of how I might get this to stop, or some idea of...

    Sapphire HD 6870 Not working?

iGee, thank you for your helpful download. I have tried many methods to get my 6870 (not a Sapphire, an XFX) working, but this is the first that has solved it. I'm not quite sure exactly what was wrong, but using your kexts and rebuilding my cache and permissions with Kext Wizard did the trick...

    Post your GEEKBENCH scores!

Re: Post you GEEKBENCH scores! The score is roughly double now       edit: ps - how were you able to determine that it was stuck at the lowest multiplier? Was it based on the scores alone, or something in System Information? My scores are much better...

    StarCraft II with hackintosh

My system seems to be pretty much identical to yours (Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R, Intel Core i7-930, Radeon HD 5770). I have horrible performance issues. Any tips? edit: I did not have speedstepping enabled, which seems to explain my performance issues.

    Available for Download

As mentioned in a new Apple Support document, you can re-download Lion by alt/option-clicking the purchases tab in the Mac App Store. This will change the option for lion from 'INSTALLED' to 'INSTALL'.

    Available for Download

I already downloaded and installed Lion on my MacBook Pro. Does the disk image still exist somewhere on my disk, or is there some kind of way I can redownload it here, so that I can burn that image to disk so that I can install it on my multibeast desktop setup?

    GA-X58A-UD3R - Interesting Audio Problem

That is the DSDT file, but that's not how you use it. You need to put it on the desktop, and check the UserDSDT option when you use the Multibeast installer.

    GA-X58A-UD3R - Interesting Audio Problem

Yeah, I do mean install it a second time, especially if Multibeast was at something other than 2.2.2 when you last installed your DSDT, especially 2.2.0. Based on the patch notes between 2.2.0 and 2.2.2, I can't figure out if something may have been wrong with the software before, but I do know...

    GA-X58A-UD3R - Interesting Audio Problem

Very weird. Did you re-install the AppleHDA rollback and re-install the DSDT with 2.2.2? If all these things don't work, you could try scouring the insanelymac forum threads for this motherboard to get a kext that works. When I first had this problem, I had some limited luck getting front-panel...
