I have an old H87N-WIFI board and have had problems getting my ALC892 to work with every build (device ID 1458:A002), so I was a bit worried I wasn't going to get it working in Catalina, but fortunately I found a way to get it to go just when I was about to give up!
I used MultiBeast 12.0.0...
I'm having the exact same problem.
GA-Z170M-D3H (v1.0) with Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500.
I'm ok with with the speed, but I'd really like to at least switch the mouse wheel "natural" scroll direction.
Any pointers appreciated! (pun intended)
Is NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext necessary now that the MultiBeast has lilu.kext and Whatevergreen in it now?
I had a clean install of 10.13.6 working beautifully until I tried to install NVIDIA drivers for my GTX970 but now it just gets stuck in a boot loop when the progress bar gets about 35%...
I have a similar problem but with different hardware.
Card: GTX960
Monitors:
AOC 2752 (DVI)
Seiki 4K SE39UY04 (HDMI)
Samsung UD28590 (DisplayPort)
If I have all three plugged in when I power up, the computer will boot into black screens on all three.
However, if I unplug the displayport...
Thanks for the suggestion.
I didn't end up finding a way to make my Sierra stick recognize NVME, but I discovered that a High Sierra boot stick will recognize it as-is. I ended up taking my chances and installing High Sierra, but if I hadn't, I probably could have applied the necessary patches...
Does anyone have instructions for building or modifying an existing Unibeast boot stick to recognize NVME before install?
I have a machine build that I created by first installing the OS onto an SSD and then cloning it to NVME. After the cloning was finished, I installed the Piker Alpha patch...
OK so I'm officially an idiot :)
I bought that router a few years ago solely to use as a high powered (but cheap) WiFi access point. When my main router borked I just put it as the main and forgot it was only 100/T.
Doyoyoyoyyyyy....
OK well this is very strange (and a bit embarrassing).
I had checked my network, sort of, before making this post.
I had a CAT 5E cable coming to this machine, but had this problem. I noticed the cable was a bit worn and actually had an area where it had been damaged, so I replaced it with a...
At first I didn't notice and was happy enough to have working Ethernet, but for some reason the onboard i219V on my Maximus IX Hero is only showing up as 100baseTX and not 1000baseTX (gigabit). Is anyone else having this problem?

Type: Ethernet

They are saying 25M. Maybe you're right, but launching a cloud service doesn't seem like any kind of way to sell cards. Intriguing I'll admit, but if that's their actual plan, I'm not impressed.
The host OS would need to have proper drivers to do this though, so it couldn't be in a VM. Your argument might still be valid if the platform they are announcing is a bootcamp OS, but wouldn't it be a bit nonsensical for NVidia to sell a video card for mac with the sole purpose to run it in a...
NVidia just announced their new GEFORCE NOW platform with the following copy:
"Now you can transform your Mac or PC into a powerful NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 gaming machine with easy access to the latest PC games"
It explicitly indicates Mac, and explicitly indicates the GTX1080, so could this...
Hi Guys,
Thanks so much for all the help. The cause of my problem was actually my SSD.
I noticed before that sometimes when running the boot stick, the SSD would appear and other times it would not. I had chalked this up to my playing with boot options, but realized it wasn't the case when I...
Trying to get the error but every time the slash comes up it garbles the screen. Here's what I got if you can make it out...
Looks like the last line before it slashes out says "still waiting for root device"
My apologies, for some reason the upload is posting my photos upside down.
SATA...
Hi Guys,
I have the Z170M-D3H with a 6700K and GTX970 and have managed to run the Sierra installer from USB. I can reboot and start the OS but once I run Multibeast and reboot, I can't get into the OS anymore. Instead I see the circle/slash/prohibit "do not enter" sign instead.
No matter...
