Confirming so far the fix works. I was trying to copy large files to a NAS. 5-6gb into the move and it would crash.
I followed your instructions to the letter and so far I'm 17gb in and it hasn't crashed.
Thank you and the rest of the Tonymac crew

Dawman,
Nice build. I've build almost the same build. Same case, board, chip. Any issues with the cooler clearing the RAM?
I was converting some tivo videos using handbreak and my temps were spiking over 90*C. Thats with the stock cooler. Obviously I need a better cooler. I think...
The problem solved must have been left over from a cut and paste session.
I am going to call newegg next week and see what my options are. I would rather not RMA the case because of a lousy front panel. Maybe they will let me send them just that or give me different type of front panel at...
It will wake the computer from sleep. Usually the mouse is the first to connect. The keyboard usually later. I don't know how its waking it up but then not connecting right away. I have the dongle plugged into a USB2 port in the back if thats any help
I had the same problem with my Dell 2713. It was driving me nuts. I took a guess that it hawd to do with the resoultion change. I figured this out by disabling the graphics enabler string. When everything stayed in low-res it booted just fine. Figured it was worth a shot to force hi res on...
Confirmed this works. I installed imac 13,1 i think and it popped after a long silence. Sounds real bad and probably isnt good for studio monitors. Went in with multibeast and changed to macpro3,1 works fine now
Issue solved!!

System Def changed to MacPro 3,1 and all is well with the internet.
Still having the screen issue though
ugh
Thanks for the help !!
Changed to Mac Pro 3,1 and all is well. It got rid of the audio pop and now my internet is working which is wasn't when I did 3,1 first.
Now to figure out why I need to power cycle the monitor to get the thing working after the grey apple boot screen
THANKS!!!
