Nice advancement from clever people here see the Catalina thread here for those interested in Opencore: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/xps-15-9560-macos-catalina-15-1-full-install-guide.287708/post-2184817 Dual boot on mine works with this config (only Win and OSX).

XPS 15 9560 MacOS Catalina 15.1 Full Install Guide

@Lopburi @blazinsmokey I confirm Mistzzt OpenCore work on xps9560 works a threat and is very stable. You will have to disable CFG Lock like @slowpoke12345 described above. I applied all the bios edits from her repo. Additional Patches from AlexJames also covers undervolting (I left those -...

Also note about the last Bios update from june 2020 (v.1.19) : If you don't want to loose undervolting capability both on window (XTU) and mac (VoltageShift), do not install the last Bios update! You can always roll back to 1.18 if needed.

Sorry you are perfectly right, all the 3 kext need to be installed in EFI/CLOVER/Kext/Other since Catalina.

Had few trouble with bluetooth not working using : - BrcmPatchRAM2.kext - BrcmFrimwareData.kext Instead - BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext worked for me. If you do, only use this only kext in favor of the 2 above. You can't use both.

Hi all. Update went well finally. Same clover version as OP. (3.4) Be VERY careful to update all your clover drivers + last kext updates BEFORE update. I didn't used -disablegfxfirmware boot flag at all. Cheers.

macOS 10.15 Catalina is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Hi all. I tried to update to catalina, all the reboots went well except the last one when i am supposed to boot on the desktop. I immediately get a Kernel Panic and can’t boot at all. I have a Dell Xps 9560 that worked really well with Mojave. I tried -disablegfxfirmware boot flag and also...

Wow. And it's pretty recent also. Yup I'll try to see how to adapt it by doing the renaming/clover hotpatch and change RP05 to RP15 in the config to see how it goes. Reading the acpi spec? lol I'm very slow atm. There's so many times the same things at the beginning. Since I'm no coder I try to...

Yes, power consumption is awesomely good now, much slower battery decrease, temps are mostly below 40° most of the time. Sleep wake from lid is also fixed now, thanks. Weren't you supposed to be on vacation "summer hero" ? lol

Hi @blazinsmokey . Using the new CPUFriend kext does the same thing as the one I generated with this handy script: https://github.com/stevezhengshiqi/one-key-cpufriend Seems less power hungry and battery decreases much slower, but for an unknown reason sleep wake from lid open doesn't work...

Hi. So back then you had TB3 working with your apollo soundcard, right? Cold boot only? Which config works for you back then?. Yes, like blazinsmokey said, remove all TB and TYP-C SSDT in patched folder, clean NVRAM, reboot. Then replace these files clean NVRAM again and reboot. I had to do...

Yep I won’t do this on any settings but for those who now the risk and are willing to do so the tb settings are here, and doing so doesn’t garanty anything. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Yes it’s very risky.

@blazinsmokey .... You are crazy. lol I hesitated to take the plunge first and was afraid to feed your hackintosh need for answers thinking it was a bad idea to entice you to risk bricking your laptop. Apparently you are really damn crazy... always in a good way haha Side note: I saw a setting...

I’ve just discovered open core as you mentioned this here. Seems very promising coming from the same team responsible for VirtualSMC. Still as @blazinsmokey said maybe this bootloader is not mature/stable enough to be used now. I think waiting for Catalina first then ongoing open core...

Hi. Happy to hear you got it working. I tested dual screen in extended mode back when using 3.2 and had no issues. I may be wrong but so far even on real macs, you can't close the lid without going to sleep contrary to windows (valid on this laptop too). EDIT: You are right sorry, in the case...

Another stuff about battery: does anyone with a dual boot system (Mac/Win) can confirm this or not? Do you feel that the left side palm rest is really hotter while charging on OSX vs charging on windows? I know it sound completely bogus and didn't have the tools to monitor the temps or prove...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

Hi. I need more info. Too many factors here. How old is your battery? Do you use your laptop mostly on battery? After boot, in activity monitor, is there any app or daemon running in the background pumping energy? What are your bios power setting? battery profile? Mine is adaptive. Was it always...
