Mahdose, I used your repo, however the trackpad and wifi doesn't work.. the funny thing is that I can use a efi/clover build I have to boot with and the trackpad seems to work fine (gpu, sound, and wifi dont) I wonder if the ssdt or aml I have would work somehow, if you want to look let me know...

sorry SFF, it may have 2 PCIs, what i meant was I thought it was an older PCI 2.x spec and maybe wouldn't work or not worth the upgrade.

@trs96 would this work in a HP 8300 with only the one PCI? also can it be used as a system drive in that system as long as clover is installed on a sata SSD?

Now i just have to find one from a reputable source.. also it looks like this may be a down grade from my Gt1030? except this may be more compatible?

sorry to rehash this again.. the rx560 low profiles are still too expensive, i was hoping the used market would drop, what is the next best thing, both performance and compatibility to the SFF 8300s?

So with all this talk about GPUs, i was going to get a RX560 put they shot so far up in price, someone else in this thread recommended the 550 instead, any one have decent benchmarks, how does it compare to a 1050Ti? any other SFF 8300 compatible cards for light gaming/video editing that would...

@trs96, Thanks again for doing this. This may be an upgrade I want to do from the 8300 as this allows for larger GFX and a little bump in CPU. Can you post any GeekBench scores yet?

craig, thanks for testing that setup for us, i was curious if that would work. might be an upgrade for me AFTER i get a AMD GFX card upgrade.

@pastrychef, Great work! I may be looking at something like this when my Hp 8300 gets too old. Any estimates on Geek bench if this way the i7 CPU? Also, would this take a aftermarket PSU?

i built (installed a HD and OSX) a 8300 CMT for a friend and he used a spare PSU just to run a NV 1060 GFX card, i have also read about someone that makes a wiring harness that allows you to run after market PSU in the full size CMT 8300, i think he sells them on ebay.

i also use mine for a Plex media server so video files are always being transferred and i'm using a 7200rpm HD now as the main storage drive, it would be nice to move my boot to a NVM and use my 1tb SSD for "serving" video files, it would cut down the transfer time between the 2 drives. and the 4x is enough bandwidth for a NVM? what adapter card is recommended?
